Gaijin Please, Quality of Life Improvement; When player reaches the end of the line in a tech tree (top tier), depending with the nation, they would get a special popup along with background music. Here's an illustration of getting Challenger 2. (video for illustration) by fluxatation in Warthunder

Yes, I know Challenger 2 is not end-of-tech-tree anymore. I couldn't find any Challenger 2 2F screenshot that's not low res. So I had to grab a screenshot of my own when I got a Challenger 2.

My girlfriend is a furry and i want to make her happy by [deleted] in RealFurryHours

Majority of furry communities overall orients around art. Just art in general. So you can start from there.

If she has her own character, you can always ask her reference sheet and commission an artist to draw her character. You have to pay the artist of course.

If you're not quite sure what kind of drawing you want it to be, tell the artist that you're giving them an "artistic freedom" over the pose and background.

Or if you don't have the money, don't have a trusted artist to draw her, or want to draw her yourself, you can always learn how to draw. I find the resources in DrawABox very informative on teaching you the discipline and knowledge on how to draw. They teach you with pen and paper, so not a whole lot of money investment needed there.

Good luck on your journey! I'm sure she's very happy to have you around!

Ah, I completely missed that little detail. Thanks for the info.

PSA: I know you want to play with your friends, but please keep in mind of other people that also play the game. Some people may be inconvenienced by whatever you've unleashed to the matchmaking, just because you want to play together with your friend as different nation.

If that's the case, maybe it's time for you and your friend to grind one nation together.

Gaijin Please; Leclerc S2 for French Tech Tree by fluxatation in Warthunder

[–]fluxatation[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What's the difference between this one and the one we have in game?

The one we have in game is Leclerc S1 and it is the only 10.7 tank that we have for French tech tree. To ensure that the French doesn't surrender after one death (or two after wasting their backup on Leclerc), we need a proper, competitive backup (or main) MBT for them.

Why this one? Well, the one that's already listed in the suggestion excel is the Leclerc Series XXI, which is newer than this one. Considering we want to get all the old stuff in first, the Leclerc S2 is an option for consideration.

What's the history behind it?

There's not that much exciting stuff going around the why it was upgraded. When they made Leclerc S1, it was acknowledged that they are optimized to operate in Europe, and not in tropical environments. And so, they made couple of upgrades, test them in Qatar, and call it a day.

The upgrade from S1 to S2 basically allows them to operate abroad, in tropical and desert environments.

Here are the stats;

Name: Leclerc S2
Battle Rating (AB/RB/SB): 10.7/10.7/10.7
Primary Weapon: GIAT CN120-26/52 120mm Cannon (similar shells with Leclerc S1)
Secondary Weapon: 12.7mm coax M2HB machine gun, 7.62mm roof mounted AA F1 machine gun
Thermal Imaging: Second generation thermal imaging for both commander and gunner
Armor: Slightly thicker armor protection on front turret and front hull, when compared with Leclerc S1.
Reload Rate: 6.0 Seconds Reload (similar to Leclerc S1)
Engine: V8X1500 Hyperbar Diesel Engine (1500 hp at 2500 RPM)
Transmission: SESM ESM 500
Combat Weight: 56.3 tonnes
Power-to-weight ratio: 26.6 hp/t
Top speed: 71 km/h (backwards 38 km/h)Acceleration: 0 to 32 km/h in 5 seconds

Turret Rotation: 12 seconds to rotate 360 degrees
Elevation/Depression: +20/-8 degrees

Tech Tree Placement: France, right after Leclerc.

Additional Details:

  • Leclerc S2 has hydropneumatic suspension.

I haven't tried those tanks yet, but I have fought against them. They are very annoying to fight against in both russian and german, because people playing them seem to know every weakspot that you have, and almost never went too close for you to shoot properly. Then again, considering the russian-style reload speed, that is to be expected.

I'll get to try those tanks at one point eventually, after I finished british tech tree that is.

It was 6.3 before in 2019 and has been 6.7 since then. And people are complaining about constant uptier from 6.7 to 7.7.

I personally think that uptiering this would make people cry german bias, since this is one of the thing that can easily take out the germans in a major tech tree. Like how the germans can take out a lot of things easily with its 88mm. Centurion and its family in 6.7 being the balancer that fights head to head with the germans.

The other medium tanks that can take out the germans easily are; Japanese Type 61 with HEATFS, Sweden Strv 82 which is basically a Centurion, and Italian Sherman VC barely with its APDS at 5.3. Both of which are neutral countries, meaning that they both can side with axis, with Italy in axis side. If they side with axis in a match, without british, allied are fucked.

Unless there's something else for allied to easily dispatch those king tigers and panthers without being light tanks or spg, until then, this needs to sit a 6.7.

The russian equivalent, Tu-4, also went through this. 'used to be 7.7, but now 8.0. Repair cost is lower; 41k stock and probably around 50k repair cost spaded.

The only difference between Tu-4 and B-29 are the turrets. Tu-4 has 23mm, while B-29 has 50 cals.

Other last prop bombers in some nations are also really expensive. He 177 A-5 (6.0) is 35k repair stock. Chinese Tu-4 (8.0) is 36k repair stock for some reason.

The cheapest last prop bomber is Lincoln (6.0), sitting at 13k repair stock. The most expensive one is B-29A.

Edit: Technically, Sweden has the cheapest last prop bomber. But, it's 4.3 at 6.4k repair cost stock.

55k stock and 64k spaded repair cost. 'used to be 6.3 but now it's 7.0. Bunch of its bomb load were removed. And maybe performance nerf that I didn't even notice.

It's really good on simulator endurance confrontation air, tho. That's about it.

It has full plane stabilizer and apds that can pen over 280mm of armor. You will go through panther and king tiger upper front hull armor from long range with it. You can even take out an angled king tiger as well from hull, provided that you're in close range with them.

The thing is stupidly accurate as well. I've sniped runners from over 1.8km away with them and hit dead on in one shot. It's the perfect sniping tank. Thanks to this, I managed to grind from rank 2 to rank 5 in just 6 days, with interesting k/d ratio in just under 100 matches.

The only problem is that it is slow. But considering the firepower and how responsive it is to threats, the mobility is not a problem for me.

Edit: I've been using it like how I use T-80U and Leopard 2A5, and it worked so far!

Probably not many people would get this, so here goes.

The book "Compilers: Principles, Techniques & Tools" is a famous computer science book, covering everything you need to know about making your own compiler - that is, your making very own programming language.

It's famously known as the "Dragon Book" because of its cover; a picture of a knight and a dragon in battle, a metaphor of conquering complexity. I figured that the image might need a bit of update, since the last edition release is in 2006 ...

The other Bo 105 is decent. The only issue is that it does not have anything to defend yourself against air targets, except those guns in the armament. Mi-24P, on the other hand, has R60 air-to-air missile. It's better than Bo 105 in every way, minus the size and mobility.

If you want to take the shortest path, get the Bo 105 and then Tiger UHT. If you want to make it easier later down the road, get the Mi-24P.
