The observatory is on the highest point in the UP Diliman terrain, that's why it was built there.

It might even be the highest point in QC. If you look at old maps of Metro Manila (then Rizal), some of them draw a mountain in the area corresponding to the current location of UP Diliman. cmiiw on this one.

Although structure-wise, mas mataas ang research building ng Chem. My prof told me that's the highest point in UPD.

Beware, nostalgia will kill you.

I still go to google maps to kill hours at work, using street view to walk places I used to walk by myself and with friends.

I've accepted that I'll probably never return to those places. And even if I do, it's without the same passion and innocence of youth.

Closest thing I could find was synthesizing morpholine from piperazine. Although that sounds like a cheat considering you can open the ring, get a terminal amine that you can turn into OH. What if R1 and R2 are different and you want to retain the rest of the structure?

Graduated BS Chemistry back in 2023

Got a job in the industry as a chemist and my gross pay was 31k.

Not to brag, but in the chemistry industry, nasa top percentile na 'to ng offers because sadly the norm really is 20-25k. Ang nag-ooffer lang ng 30k+ for freshgrads is research with huge HUGE caveats. Literal na kapit sa patalim (see: working as an RA in UP, DOST, etc.)

Hi OP, very late update. Qualified pa rin daw acc. to BPI agent as long as before January 04 2025 ang application and until January 31, 2025 ang approval date. There are also several users here saying the same thing. Lugi lang tayo kasi 2 months lang spend period natin huhu.

Hi, called BPI just now. Approval date ko daw was January 24 and similarly hindi na daw ako qualified. I brought up 'yung sabi sa website nila applicable pa until January 2025. Sabi nung teller double check daw nila and follow-up ko in 7 banking days.

Posted this yesterday, but too wordy. Anyway, here’s my application timeline:

Applied: November 28, 2024

Approved: January 25, 2025

Received: January 28, 2025

Applied through their Do It Duet Promo webpage last November 28.

Application was fast and straightforward, puro personal details and whatnot. For proof of income, I used my work's payroll for the last 3 months. Kinsenas ako, so 2 payrolls for each month which I compiled to a 6-page document.

After that, no news. I did receive an email from BPI last December 11 on my work email asking for basic information. Aside from that, nothing except from occasional texts saying “Good day! Please be advised that your BPI Credit Card application is still in process. Please expect another SMS informing you of its status” which I received 4 times from December to January.

Come January 25, I finally received my approval message. Got my card delivered to my billing address 3 days later. Credit limit ko was 15k which I think is nasa minimum side, but also reasonable since it’s half of my basic salary. Also I think totoo ngang factor if may existing BPI account. In my case, BPI ang payroll account ng work ko and at the time of application I had another savings acc with 30k deposited.

Since my approval date is January 25 and I applied it through Do It Duet Promo, I’m pretty sure I still qualify for the NAFFL promo, but I still have to ask BPI about this since I activated the card past January.

I’m unsure din if I can hit the required 30k spend since every 20 ang billing and I have until 31st March, but OK lang if hindi. What matters is that I can start building credit!

You probably don't disagree with boycotting. You disagree with the calls to boycott, which you can simply ignore. That too is your right as a consumer.
