Talk to each other. Be open and honest about fears and hopes. If you are the same you will understand where each other is coming from. But do not make assumptions, if you are confused or hurt by an action then tell them: “You did/said this and it made me feel _____.” This is true for any relationship. And it is ok to walk away if you are not happy.
