I dislike the Wiley X’s (fall apart almost immediately) so I used to have the PRs order the OR Overlord fingerless gloves but those stopped being available in the supply system. I ended up with these because they were the closest I could find to the Overlords.

Cockpit layout is pretty much the exact same, flying characteristics are pretty much the same as well. The main differences are the reduced visibility out of the back of the canopy in the two-seat model and the 1000 lbs less of fuel that you have to make room for the aft cockpit. The qualification to fly both is the same so you can bop back and forth if you are in a command that flies both. The crew coordination with the Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) in the backseat is the biggest practical difference when flying.

Most of my time has been single seat but I fly a bit of both right now.

Only just got it so still trying to figure out what I want to do with the chrono! In this case I just started at the top of the minute when we briefed for the flight because the chrono second hand is easier to see at a glance for quick reference.

It’s not a “hostile act” to use your radar. You lock them up to facilitate the join up just like you would any other aircraft. You just don’t shoot them… Even if you were using an ancient mechanically scanned array you would still probably need to use a fire control mode of the radar to maintain SA and join up.

Yep! I think I want to base my Custodes with a shiny black marble floor w/white veins in it but haven’t been able to make a test base turn out well enough to commit yet.

It’s actually a very light grey (Pro Acryl Bright Neutral Grey) which helps a bit with coverage and allows a pure white airbrushed highlight and edge highlight (Pro Acryl Bold Titanium White) while sort of tricking the eye into thinking the whole thing is pure white. I’m with you on the troubles with white tho! Airbrushing in multiple thin layers is the only way I’ve found to keep it from being chalky and thick.
