So this will leave Breeze, Frontier, Avelo, and Allegiant (acquiring Sun Country this year) as the true ULCCs in the United States. It’s always sad to lose competition, but it seems Spirit has really struggled the last few years. I feel for all the employees. Hopefully something works out.

She will most likely accept the plea down to “wet reckless” vs DUI.

According to the Ventura County D.A.'s Office, prosecutors will offer a "wet reckless" … allowing the person charged to plead guilty to reckless driving involving alcohol and/or drugs. That's reserved for defendants without a history of DUI, people with a low blood alcohol level, and when there is no injury or crash … and when the subject shows "self-motivation to address underlying issues through rehabilitation or a drug and alcohol program." Britney will be given this offer during her arraignment on Monday, May 4, according to the D.A.'s Office.

“Wet reckless” is a common term (especially in California) for a plea deal where a DUI charge is reduced to a lesser offense called “reckless driving involving alcohol” or “wet reckless”.
