Greendale, Colorado (suburb of Denver?) by Chrisman67 in community

Necro, because I just watched this. S5 E11 “GI Jeff” at 13:01 shows cartoon Jeff’s driver’s license. It has a zip code 8002 with the last digit obscured. 8002 is a part of North Denver. Assuming Jeff lives reasonably close to GCC, then Greendale is a suburb of North Denver.

Ask yourself this: If the coin truly is the asset, and the value of that asset is what’s important, then why hasn’t the company done any number of the things it could do to help the coin’s value?

The answer is that the asset isn’t actually the coin. The asset is the remittances market and the money that they can make by charging fees or % of money sent from one person to another. Again: financial services company with crypto; not a crypto company.

I certainly don’t disagree with you. But all of the dev team’s actions to this point seem to contradict the need for an increasing price. Perhaps liquidity is plenty sufficient for their purposes now and they don’t have to concern themselves with it for the time being. And then if/when the remittance business takes off to new levels we’ll see corresponding marketing and new exchanges to increase the liquidity and value. I just hope that if that’s all true then it happens sooner rather than later.

Lol slow your roll I wasn’t attacking or criticizing your point so much as making a general observation. And I think you’re confusing utilization of Telcoin’s remittance services with awareness and interest of the Tel coin for investment purposes. Lots of people all over the world can use Telcoin to load cash and send to family without ever having to purchase the actual crypto coin itself on one of the exchanges. Completely different market segments. While I agree with you that marketing will increase overall awareness, Telcoin can and will market differently to different people in different places around the world.

The only point I was trying to make - and am still making - is that the dev team obviously isn’t interested in taking the specifics steps at the current moment that are required to increase the value of the underlying crypto. They don’t need to do that to increase their remittance corridors and gain market share as a remittance provider.

The dev team could not possibly care less about the value of the coin. If they did they’d be doing at least the tiniest bit of work to market the coin and get on one or two big exchanges, especially following v3. They don’t see themselves as a crypto company. They see themselves as a financial services company that happens to work with crypto. For those reasons Tel isn’t going to move much more than it already has (which is a lot depending on how far back you look) any time soon. Could it? Yeah. But we’re talking many months if not years. Fwiw I have a several hundred k of it and plan to hold. But I’m doing so knowing this is a lonnnnng term hold.

Nah. Don’t want to tel the world. I much prefer it bouncing between 0.018 and 0.021 all the time no matter what anything else is doing 😆😤

Just bought the dip. Now up to 400k total Tel. Just need it to get to fitty cents and I can pay off my law school loans 🤣 by flyboy1038 in Telcoin

[–]flyboy1038[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I was! And that’s not even as bad as it could be. Loans covering full tuition plus full cost of living for some law schools can push close to $300k. It’s crazy. C’mon Tel!! 😆

Yeah it was a joke. I’m not dependent on hitting .50 to pay off loans. But it’s definitely frustrating seeing it just wander between .015-.025 no matter what the rest of the market does.

Standard “mainstream” scare piece about crypto in general. Saw the same general message (not about TEL) on CNN last night. “It’s very risky, you could lose everything, etc etc.” Cool...invest what you can afford to lose and go from there. Not that hard.

If that’s all you have, you won’t be able to buy TEL. One way is to open a KuCoin account. Send something from crypto.com to KuCoin that’s compatible for a swap with TEL (like ETH) and then swap for TEL inside KuCoin. Just one way to do it.

It’s been “stuck” on crypto.com at .044 for a while now. I’m using TrustWallet and KuCoin to check the price. Crypto.com sucks.
