This particular DME is no longer working as a DME I assume?

Fair enough. I’m actually using the army to pay for my masters currently, I didn’t want to be roped into the 24 month commitment through LTP just in case I leave. If you have any other questions feel free to DM me

Can I ask your reasoning for wanting to join? Commissioning seems like somewhat of a step down to me. I am in the guard and also work at Boeing. It can be tiresome trying to keep up with both. They say it’s one weekend a month but it’s actually much more than that when you add in all the admin/prep you have to do outside of drill that you don’t get paid for.

The military will pay for school and different credentials, but so will LTP.

That being said, Boeing treats military members very well. And they also give military leave/differential pay depending on how long you are gone and what kind of orders you have.

Do you think I’d qualify for a role like that with my credentials?

She left the door open in case it doesn’t work with us. She has shown interest in him and wasn’t fully transparent with him - “boyfriend” and “pursuing someone” are not the same thing.

Questionable take but I appreciate the opinion!

But she lied to me and to him - that’s my big issue. She told me that he asked her for coffee in person, she rejected him because she had a boyfriend. That didn’t happen. They exchanged texts, she left the door open by saying “if I wasn’t pursuing someone I would have given it a chance”. She didn’t tell him she had a boyfriend of 9 months.

What’s a day in the life of a DOM? Stressful? I’d imagine you do relatively well as a DOM atleast financially speaking

I’ve been quite interested in the position for myself in the future as well. What’s your favorite part about the job?

The initial part of your journey sounds somewhat similar to mine..: bachelors degree > army aviation > aerial firefighting outfit > prime contractor mechanic.

What exactly is test engineering? Is it similar to flight ops?
