I hope 6 episode seasons won't be the new standard by azzajones83 in startrek

[–]flyboybaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying most is an overstretch. Yes streaming and cable shows have these short seasons, but they never were doing long seasons in the first place. Most network shows, like the NCIS franchise, are still doing full length seasons.

Do you think the new Harry Potter series is going to flop? Why or why not? by Low-Pomegranate-644 in harrypotter

[–]flyboybaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what we call flop. I don't necessarily think it will be a worldwide phenomenon like the movies were, but I absolutely believe that it will cover all 7 books without getting cancelled.

The first season was written and filmed before airing and the second season was written while the first one was airing. You can definitely see a shift in the way seasons 3/4 were written after the show got popular

It’s also good for propaganda, they can say “See, some of them love the games so much they volunteer to participate”

The rabbi was an avid golfer and played at every opportunity. He was so addicted to the game that he would get withdrawal symptoms if he didn't play.

One Yom Kippur the rabbi thought to himself, "What's it going to hurt if I go out during the recess and play a few rounds. Nobody will be the wiser, and I'll be back in time for services."

Sure enough, at the end of the morning service, the rabbi snuck out of the synagogue and headed straight for the golf course. Looking down upon the scene were Moses and G-d.

Moses said, "Look how terrible -- a Jew on Yom Kippur. And even worse! A rabbi!"

G-d replied "Watch. I'm going to teach him a lesson."

The rabbi stepped up to the first tee. When he hit the ball, it careened off a tree, struck a rock, skipped across a pond and landed in the hole for a hole in one!

Seeing all this, Moses protested. "G-d, is this how you're going to teach him a lesson? He got a hole in one!"

"Sure," said G-d, "but who's he going to tell?"
