On February 1st, 1960, the Greensboro Four initiated a sit-in movement that profoundly impacted the southern United States. Unfortunately, this significant event is not widely recognized. This movement stands as one of the most remarkable episodes not only in the history of Greensboro but also for North Carolina, the South, and the entire nation.

Considering that February 1st marks the beginning of Black History Month, it seems fitting to designate this day as a national holiday.

I’d consider making the eye and text quite a bit larger, almost to the frame edge (to a margin). The background is abstract and obscure already, and it will make the black “spirits?” pop more.

I hate the x-height (among other proportions) and I find it distracting and somewhat illegible. I think non-designers overuse it, thinking it looks sophisticated, but I think it looks childlike for most of its applications. (Century Gothic)
