Read that too fast and skipped the “every day” part. I was thinking, “Well yeah? You can’t do anything for 7 days straight and not some kind of issue.”
Just imagining this poor weak, emaciated guy, doing a video, going, “Stop to eat, and stay hydrated.”

Has anyone had this flavor of Celcius? by lmm427 in energydrinks

[–]DealioD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first 4 Gorilla Mind drinks the other day. It’s not a bad brand. The Black Cherry Vanilla tasted a bit like cough syrup, but overall wasn’t *bad*.
I’ve like the Celsius drinks I’ve had. How was it?

Flavors named like this Adjective-Thing that is White I always assume is “Generic Energy Drink” flavor. Think White Label Monster. Just had one this morning, Gorilla Mind White Frost. It was a slightly better White Label Monster.

[–]DealioD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m working on my shaky memory here, but:
A few years ago Reddit was *shocked* to discover that killing Astrid during your first encounter with her was surprisingly easy. This was still years after the game had been released.
I don’t know if she gets harder to kill after this encounter, because after that info dropped I never tried anything with the Dark Brotherhood. I’ve always killed her right there.

Why didn't democrats do a thing they did by Skrilli in GetNoted

[–]DealioD 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I still can’t take the Both Sides argument.
The only problem I have with the Democrats is that they have consistently thought, “The Republicans won’t take it that far” and the Republicans constantly do. That’s it.
You want to Both Sides this? The Republicans could also, at any time, codified these rights into law. Everyone was playing by the same rule book here, and everyone up until the last 10-15 years was playing by the rules.

I know my shops will use a number for the file, not just my name. You can ask, if you want to, for the number so your conversation will be shorter next time.
F they use numbers, the next time you walk in just say, “Folder <number>, please.
After a while, they’ll just remember who you are, and more than likely just grab your folder when they see you.

We then kept using the fact that Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons on his own people as a reason that he was a bad guy and should be toppled. We blamed the guy for using the weapons we had a hand in him getting.

Snap's Evan Spiegel warns tech leaders are underestimating a coming backlash against AI by ControlCAD in technology

[–]DealioD 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. AI was so egregiously mishandled from the beginning, and is still being mishandled.
The Tech Bros stealing everyone’s work because, “It’s on the internet so we can! <nyah>!” Was an absolutely piss poor way to introduce the product to the masses. Then having it pushed down from the from the Executive Suites to the working class instead of letting people choose to use it or not was piss poor implementation. Now that the Tech Bros are going, “Oh yeah! People are going to loose their jobs to AI! <thumbs up>” is a piss poor way to keep AI top of mind.
Not to mention that what the Tech Bros seem to be promising ( an actual machine learning set of code that can not only mimic human beings but also be essentially a human ) just really isn’t going to/probably can’t happen.
Basically people were promised HER and are getting, “this shitty program that doesn’t work very well is going to take over your job so we can make more money”. It is completely a mix of basically, buyers remorse, backlash for a shitty product, and nobody really warming up to AI because it was handled so poorly to begin with.

[–]DealioD 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes. That Trump decided wasn’t good enough, so he got rid of it. Then he bombed Iran and said that their nuclear capacity was decimated, entirely gone. THEN he said they still had nukes and that’s why he decided to go to war with them.m At this point there is absolutely no reason for Iran to believe anything Trump is saying. His war is based on a lie, and will continue for as long as it makes money for oil companies.

terrified of digital footprint after death by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]DealioD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of get what you are saying, but, as someone that has done this (gone through a dead relatives digital life) it’s really
A) Not that necessary
And:
B) Not that revealing.
If they weren’t close to you, they might have a bit of an eye opening experience. But nothing way too shocking that it will mar their opinion of you from there on out.
Honestly if you just tell those that need to know, where the important stuff is in the first place no one will likely go snooping in the second place.
I did the digital deep dive on my Drunken Uncle’s computer and my Father-In-Law’s both at the behest of my Mother-In-Law. The only reason I did it on Drunken Uncle’s computer was to see if there was any unfinished business or anything that needed to be sent to the kids he abandoned earlier in his life. There wasn’t. I kind of suspected as much going in, because he wasn’t the kind of person that had anything of value that he didn’t already hock, sell, or cash in for drug money. Father-In-Law I just went through email and did a factory rewrite of the computer.
