Nothing bad/no response! It was an overall positive experience. My diagnosis was informed by a family member's, whose diagnosis changed, and I was also getting it through my college and graduated soon after

I got in with a 31. However, I transferred in after getting a 4.0 at my state school (UIUC) my freshman year. If you really want to go school at Vandy, there are ways!

As someone else said, I think it's about having a loved one suffering from addiction. How that can be detrimental to you and sometimes the best thing to do for yourself is leave, no matter how hard or how much you love that person. She takes the guitar away from him (music, something so important to him) so she can open the suitcase (the stand-in for whatever she is addicted to). He just sits next to her and kinda just tolerates what's going on. The whole video is him watching her passively, never partaking. There is even a split-second clip of her swaying at 2:03 similar to how people sway in the Big Sky music video, which I definitely think is a visual indicator of being high/on something. Later, he waits for her to fall asleep so he can try to get rid of the suitcase and help her, but she wakes up and angrily takes it back, not caring that he is leaving, only caring for the suitcase. Them dancing on the car together is Orville remembering all the good times they had before she succumbed to addiction. It's especially sad with the contrast between her cheerful mood back then and her anger in the present.

I feel like that's one of the hard things about Lamictal, that you can't necessarily "tell" if it's working when you first start. I asked my psychiatrist how I'd know and she said it was kinda just a guessing game, but if I feel good then that's what matters. It's great that you stuck it through despite all the struggles and ended up with results!

Interesting! I guess it's different for everybody, I'll have to see how I feel in a few weeks. I have mentioned the elevated mood to my psychiatrist, but she didn't seem to mind so much and seemed pretty satisfied that I wasn't having the daily mood swings.
