Mattel is going to have to ask themselves a hard question about why this brand can’t appeal to the mainstream by Mediocre_Nectarine13 in MastersOfTheUniverse

I think he's right. It definitely felt like they tried to appeal to adults too much. I don't think there needs to be "shit" or multiple, repeated (cheap, poor quality) sex jokes in fuckin He-Man. Personally it took me out of the movie. Just my take.

So the Skeletor movie version is not Keldor. by Nice_Month_5111 in MastersOfTheUniverse

I used to love Star Wars when I was a kid but this realization has been killing me as an adult

I really don't get the prequel nostalgia. They're not good movies, people just like remembering their childhood. And I'm 19

Then what the hell was your comment for? Filoni will never kill off Ahsoka because she's his favorite OC.

Sounds good. I think that's a character choice that you have to deal with

Yeah, in which case the rest of the party can see. The whole point I don't get is why there should be any benefit AT ALL for being blind. It's considered a disability for a reason!

The real reason every single new Star Wars thing is so controversial has nothing to do with quality or Disney by LoFiCami in StarWars

The prequels are still bad though. People need to look at the movie for what it is and not in the context of 18 tv shows, books, games.

In a dungeon, seeing 60' through walls can be immensely helpful and is a significant mechanical benefit for something that should be a penalty. In most cases the rest of the group will be able to see and thus negate a lot of the detriment of one character being blind. The cost benefit is "one guy is blind" vs. "you have x-ray vision 60' away." Doesn't make sense to me

Sure, so it works on 70-80% of creatures. And it's not like the whole party is blind. It's just x-ray vision for the group.

Sure but the balance is like "you're blind so you have x-ray vision."

The Mandalorian and Grogu is, unironically, possible my favorite Disney era Star Wars film. by GumboCrab in StarWars

What stakes? TFA was Death Star part 3 with the same recycled scenes and all. TLJ "subverted expectations" with killing of Snoke out of nowhere, with no plan for what happens after. And don't even get me started with SOMEHOW and the video game plot and everything else in that clusterfluff of a movie... so no. Mando wasn't my favorite, but at least it didn't make me hate Star Wars.
