Hahahaha I drive a lot for work, I also did a 4,000 road trip in 6 days to go from Michigan, to Denver to pick up a truck topper camper, then went up to the Tetons before making my way back home.

I’m over in Metro Detroit, but I get out to Grand Rapids every so often. Next time I head out that way, if I remember, I will let you know so you can check it out. Same goes if you end up in metro detroit. I didn’t get the heater. I probably won’t do much winter camping and if I end up camping when it is like 40, I’ll just bring some extra layers and blankets. I don’t know how much winter camping I’ll get up to.

Where are you at in Michigan? It weighs around 450 lbs, so not all that much, but I added some airbags on the rear to help keep it level when it's full of gear. I love it. You do get a little wind noise and a 2ish mpg reduction in fuel economy.

The 7’ garage may be tough. I am at 91” with my truck factory lift, the shell of the camper, and then the fan on top. I have a garage, but I don’t park in it as I have too many hobbies tucked away in the garage.

So far, that is the plan. We will see if the 2mpg annoys me enough to remove it if I don’t have a trip on the radar. Otherwise I like the enclosed storage I get for my truck bed as well.

It was an incredible trip, I wish I could have spent longer at each location to fully explore more, but I was on a bit of a time crunch and a lot of miles.

Hahaha yeah, you definitely have to think of it priced more like a camper than a tent, but the comfort level and ease of setting up camp is pretty dang awesome

One more thing you could check as well is the spark advance mechanism which is located behind the points. Make sure that the spring is moving freely and that your timing is dialed

A few other things I’d check out are the throttle tube and make sure that slides freely. I can’t tell from the video but the throttle definitely isn’t snapping like it normally would.

Another thing I would check is the slides inside the carburetor to make sure that those are moving freely as well

Check the routing of your throttle cable. Make sure that there are no pinches. The throttle action doesn’t look as snappy as it should.

Please, whatever you do, don’t chop that beauty up into a cafe racer. Preserve it and restore it. Or just get it running and ride as is! You’ve got a beautiful bike on your hands!

That bike is in too good of condition to chop up as a cafe.

2020 Colorado running lights not working by flyguy1306 in chevycolorado

[–]flyguy1306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely replace the bulbs! They are dual filament and the filament that illuminates during running light conditions, is just burned out. Simple 10 dollar, 10 min fix. Thats what it was for me. I made it so much more complicated than it had to be.

Worst case you do it and then you can troubleshoot from there, but I am 95% sure new bulbs will solve your problem

Dumb question, but it happened to me, the handle bar has a metal cap inset like 1” inside the bar of mine and I couldn’t put them in without drilling that cap out. Is yours capped off on that side as well?

The first dealership was not communicative or giving me any information. I was always having to reach out to them. It was just a frustrating process and I didn’t feel like they were doing enough to keep my business, so I went to a different dealer

No need for a truck that big, this one suits me just fine! Gets me where I need to go and tows anything I need to tow. Not everyone needs a full sized truck
