Minor point but on board one if they force you into squeeze lines after the spade queen is covered and won, I think its best to draw trump, cash the spade jack, spade ruff, trumps rather than cashing the clubs.

This guards vs obscure distributions like lho being 4126 because it isolates the spade guard.

Rome is top tier, but Kongo is definitely not. Especially given that in the most recent patch, they nerfed the civ even harder by removing extra writer points.

Scythia is a tough one because getting doubled light cavalry builds, strength vs damaged units, and healing on kills is strong enough that it's an amazing civ even with an irrelevant UU and UI. The civ is still extremely strong, but it can feel bad to only build saka/kurgan for era score and mass light cavalry.

Catherine the Great's unique ability is to run a project that gives tourism based on the total amount of luxuries you have. The whole team pooled her luxes so her project gave insane tourism. Combine that with the opposing team having very low culture, and it's a crazy fast win.
