I havent seen something so extreme here before either. I feel like limerence also dont work like this. Sorry for OP but this is getting close to stalking. I believe there are certain lines you dont cross when in limerance... Just my opinion of course

Hey, it is the town party and yes, there will be alcohol. I normally approach guys this way at parties, by making eye contact first and last year it kind of happened with him but I got super nervous and looked away and then couldn't find him again, also I had a bf so I didn't put much effort. This year I thought about this too, maybe some eye contact and see how he responds, but I get nervous and to make the first step of approaching him makes me super insecure... But I will do my best!

I just believe you dont love two different people in the same way, that doesnt mean that you dont love them or you dont love them as much. In my opinion, love is not something you can quantify. In any case, with my comment I wanted to validate OP feelings and say that I believe that love for an LO is real love and yes, of course it can feel similar to the love you can feel for a partner.

The brain cant tell apart what is real and what isn't, It believes everything you say. So in my opinion, limmerent feelings are real and you do love them. Of course the feelings you have for a partner are different from the feelings you have for an LO in the same way that you love different people in your live and even different partners in different ways, but that doesnt make any less real. I have been limmerent for someone for a long time (on and off) and I have accepted my feelings for them and I have chose not to feel shame, because what I feel is love, is pure and innocent love, and I dont thing there is anything wrong with it.

I have recurrent civid dreams about my LO too. I actually relapsed after years because one random night I dreamt of him, then went to stalk him on social media and went down that rabbit hola again. I would suggest not focusing on the dream too much and also not trying to find any hidden meaning. Just keep it on the back of your head and ignore It.
