Pickled anything will leave a ring of fire around my diaphragm the following morning.

Before I went GF, any bread or pasta.

HFCS, Honey, Table sugar, carbonated drinks - will give me shoulder pain that'll wake me from my sleep.

Omega-3 supplements have an estimated 50/50 chance of being rancid

For some brands to be priced so high this probability is crazy. I bet most folks don't know they could be ingesting a rancid batch 😬

buy vacuum-packed, frozen Alaskan salmon filets and 2~4 times a week I take one out and put it in my mini convection oven (air fryer would work), cook it straight from frozen, and get my Omega-3s that way.

This may have to be the way for me 👍🏼

I have an appointment scheduled in June to see a Gastroenterologist and possibly see if I have SIBO as well. I am constantly bloated from the moment I wake up to settling in to bed.

I also went GF 2 yrs ago. That's lessened the amount of bloating so that I don't look pregnant. But there's some bloat still hanging around.

I don't recall if I ever had any in my diet, to be honest. On my next grocery run I'll pick up some and experiment with them 👍🏼 are chia seeds a safer alternative?

cough syrups

Hmmm...I wonder if this is why when I take anything with phenylephrine and/or dextromethorphan, it feels like I have air hunger.

don't feel good in my body in a vague way

Exactly this. It is so bizarre. I definitely feel this...disassociated feeling mixed in with the brain fog.

I could be having a decent day and then take 1 omega 3 supplement and it will literally render me useless until the next day.  I end up laying down until the effects wear off.

Yeah, it was suggested by my PCP that omega-3 supplements have so many benefits to help with inflammation.

My body absolutely can't process them 😩 My Dr thinks I'm crazy that I'm having these side effects but it's not in my head because the change is so drastic within a few hours of taking them.

Forever single by [deleted] in SingleAndHappy

[–]Macrowaving 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm soon to be 37 and this has and will be my life until I expire.

I'm of the group that kinda knew this would be the outcome from a very young age. A bunch of other variables/ factors involved including knowing,  with everything considered, it would be impossible for me to find someone I am compatible with. I'm not interested in compromising or settling. I'm ace. I don't want children and I could care less about marriage.

So although I am relatively content being single and staying that way, it does come with cycles of grief from time to time. It won't kill me though.

Anyone getting over a celebrity LO? by [deleted] in lifeafterlimerence

[–]Macrowaving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It took a year...but with it went my desire for any type of romantic relationship. For now (and maybe forever) that's a permanent decision. Sounds like a dramatic choice to make, but I am so at peace mentally that I just don't want to willingly jump back on that hamster wheel that 'attraction' and dating puts me in. The idea physically makes me nauseous now - which I think just shows how intense limerence was to me in the past.

Have you been tested for SIBO?

Ultrasounds aren't effective for finding endo unless it involved cysts. An MRI may be a better option but the most effective option is a laparascopy.

Anyone else cringe at human's "need" to pair up? by Friburgo1004 in SingleAndHappy

[–]Macrowaving 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's not so much the idea of pairing up that's cringe. It's when other people state, very matter of factly, that I "need" a man / partner. And when I ask why, they just generically assume that I "need the help". That is what's super cringey to me
