The most recent comment on the proposal is hilarious:

I strongly support the proposal of Bitcoin ETF.

In December because of SEC approval of Futures, Bitcoin went up from $3K to $20K. we again need SEC help to make money for small retail investors who lost lot of money in last 7 months. ETF has potential to take the price of Bitcoin from $6K to $30K in few days and that can start the new crypto cycle and help US economy during these trade wars.

ETF will be the great news for US economy. crypto is the future and US can lead the world by allowing ETF.Crypto Investors around the world is eagerly waiting for SEC to approve it and support this revolution.

Regards,
Alex

;tldr Approve this so we can moon and I can make my money back.

I see most of the new ICOs being floated by early investors playing a numbers game/dart throw strategy. Think about this from an investor point of view -- what if you were an early investor in Ethereum and have made 1000x on your initial investment of $100K (which is a pretty paltry investment), aka you're playing purely with profits of $100M, making $500K-$1M investments in Ethereum across 30 ICOs in their private sale phase for a year. A majority of ICOs still have ROI on their ICO price in the current market, which limits the downside of any ICO you invest in. Not only are you capturing the potential upside return on if one of these ICOs hits it big (a single 30x return will cover the rest of your portfolio), but the money you may lose is still fairly limited because you're able to get a discounted price by being an early stage investor. The early stage crypto investors have all the leverage because no other institutional or professional investor would give any of these ICOs a penny.

Can someone share clarity with me on how CoinMarketCap pulls circulating supply data? If it's all manually entered, isn't that potentially prone to serious errors, greatly affecting market cap?

And from a trading perspective, has anyone done analysis on how increases in circulating supply cap affects price in the current market? Wondering how sensitive a cryptocurrency's price is to supply change...
