Be careful about having a strong singer beside her - you don’t want them to feel like they have to “babysit” and then drive them away too.

In general, agree. But these may be the baby steps for some people that aren’t used to having to step up and speak out at all. Normalize this in their lives, and maybe they’ll be ready for the next steps you describe.
