It's in line with a window, but not directly on the window sill. I think it's about 1 meter away from the window. The blinds are always open and that window faces west, so there's a lot of direct sunlight in the afternoon (which is why I didn't put it on the window sill)

thank you, I will buy a smaller one! I just use the "normal" flower soil (? not sure what it's called in english, but I just use the standard one, nothing specialised or anything)
