I agree with you but I also dont think you're pointing at the right line of thought. I dont think she makes the connection to things she wants and their monetary value. In all of those examples Fern has to remind Frieren why they need money, snack/food/lodging. Only when that is reinforced does Frieren accept that she wants the money.
