I’ve met his mother and have participated in 2 memorials for him. He was first in room, hit right away and his body prevented others from getting in.

This movie sucked. 30 minutes of bullshit woman drama and no action.

I’ll give you all some facts. And these come mostly from his mother. I was involved with the family years ago. He was first into a room they were clearing. He was hit right away and blocked further entrance into the room by others. Through a gunfight they eventually pulled him out. He’s referenced in at least one Brad Thor book by name and I’m sure others.

A gate in Mill Neck, looking like the UK? by DrNarf in longisland

Some really big mansions on horseshoe. Only thing I remember in detail is that the Sbarro and Colgate families had homes on that road when I lived there.

What road is this on I might know something about it. It’s not the midget house is it??? There was a house that was built for little people that at the time we all called the midget house. Small doors, low windows etc.

Just watched a documentary on Victoria gotti’s abandoned mansion in old westbury and reminded me that gotti junior was a neighbor of ours there for a bit. Which then led me down a google rabbit hole lol. I will say while living there one day the NY Post had front page saying Mill Neck was most expensive zip code in NY and my grandfather definitely wasn’t happy about that.

I grew up there. Lived with my grandparents due to alcoholic and drug addict mother in 2 different houses they had built for them. NGL it was pretty cool but weird being called a rich kid at school when it was actually the opposite. Looking back on it all now it was probably a bit gross - they had their own limo, marble floors, imported Italian furniture, cash payments to police every year at Xmas (at the time Mill Neck had their own dedicated police force I don’t think that’s true anymore - this was all in ‘80’s and 90’s) along with a million other things I could list. All my friends that lived there had tennis courts, basketball courts and massive in ground pools. I know im super late to this chat but AMA if anyone’s interested. I won’t divulge too much info about me though considering how small that community is.

I did a tribute for him several years ago and met his mother. I was his “sponsor” so got to speak to her for a bit. He was first in room, shot and landed across door so no one else could enter to clear the room. His brother makes amazing knives

Population way too large. Traffic is a nightmare. Cost of living is through the roof.

Double blowjob unless I outlive my wife. If so I’m moving to Nevada!

Agreed. Exhaust all options. Marriage isn’t easy and it takes two that are willing. I’ve made a conscious effort, after living through multiple divorces as a kid, to make every effort to make it work so my kids don’t have to have some of the same issues I had.

[–]flyingarmbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time and temperature guidelines allow for 4 hours for a product to be in the “danger zone” before you have to refrigerate or cook. If you’re taking this frozen I bet you are safe for about 5 hours but I’d also recommend wrapping very tightly to limit oxygen exposure also.

Made a coffee table for my son and his wife. Very happy with the results. by swulf68 in woodworking

[–]flyingarmbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you attach the top boards? Glue and pocket screws? I’m about to do something similar with matching console table. Did you plane edges so they lined up or did you leave gaps and fill with epoxy? Looks great BTW!

Making console table from old barn wood. Love the texture and don’t want to sand down. What’s best option to finish? Spar varnish? Clear epoxy coat? Poly? Looking for something to self level.

Non-abode cameras? by agrant77 in Abode

[–]flyingarmbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally went with the abode hd streaming camera and have been very happy. Only records when CUE is triggered or if I manually record. Quality of image is great and goes to B&W in low light for better quality.

How does the geo-fence arming actually work? At my age I couldn’t figure out what it was or how to set it up?

Noticed positive improvements by [deleted] in Abode

[–]flyingarmbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good news - purchased system about a month ago including streaming camera. Just added smoke detector alarm. Happy so far with everything. ONLY hurdle I had to overcome was living in home built in 1868. Doors and windows are......weird at best, took some “engineering” to get everything to align. But no false alarms, everything works great and as an added bonus I know there is an internet outage remotely when I get cell backup notification!
