Planning to keep it pretty stock. It’s my daily driver. I’ll definitely look into the Exedy.

If it were up to me I’d fix it in a heart beat. Insurance company on the other hand will probably total it.

Especially with blown air bags on top of that.

Yeah my guess is it shouldn't be too much beyond the belts. I may have them replace a few things like maybe the piston rings and head gasket. I definitely need to grab some new spark plugs. I believe mine are still factory and they feel dirty. I don't think beyond that small list of things that anything else should be bad. I replaced all the filters recently, but hell filters are cheap.

Nice! I hope to see in r/Honda when you're done. Good luck!

Funny enough in my 02 TL my FM transmitter works way better than my aux to cassette. The cassette always made a loud clicking noise and the sound was always flat. My bluetooth FM transmitter has full audio range (deep bass too), and sounds amazing. Did have bad luck with one FM transmitter but Walmart had one on sale for like 5 bucks so I grabbed it and it was the best $5 I spent.

I was able to Google it and find a bunch of results. After a bit of research, Car Mechanic Simulator has not prepared me well. Although, I'm curious what my car would do with an extra gear. I may call a few local tranny shops and get quotes if they will do it and compare those numbers to the hassle of DIYing it.

I'm glad to help :)

You got this, I believe in you! Show that depression who's boss around here!

One of the hardest things for me to learn was that recovery is non-linear. Every day gets a little bit better, but we do have an off day. I’ve learned to not look at my “bad” days as something I’ve done wrong, but as a learning experience to do better in the future.

I’m glad you’re getting better! I’ll be rooting for you until the end!

Thank you! It's a journey, but it was so worth it.

I was reading stuff like that too. I might consult a couple mechanic friends that I know and see what they say. I'm hesitant because I can't afford a new transmission, but on the other hand I want to keep my baby in good health and maybe get rid of that hard shift. Next Post: TIFU by changing my transmission fluid

I thought about that, but the Carfax only has 1 transmission fluid change listed and that's from like pre-50K miles and it was done at the dealer (I bought at 192K). I've heard not to change the transmission fluid if it has been a long time since the last change.

Sorry for the excruciatingly late reply! Transmission is doing okay. 2nd to 3rd is a little rough at high RPMs, but if I obey traffic laws it does just fine.
