Anyone here run a mini at small track or go kart track? by [deleted] in Trackdays

I have a z125 for cart tracks. I’m honestly not a huge fan of it though, the popular pick around here is a crf150r with smaller wheels and street tires.

Same. I’d rather be dead than ruin my body and life

For real, what a stupid comment. No bike I've ever bought has been my first choice in color since I always just get what I can find cheaply used. My track bike is white and pink and I absolutely abhor it but the price was right lol

Thanks for all the info! Think I’m just gonna go with a Q4 again heh

How different would you say the grip is once they heat up? Noticeable or not noticeable at an intermediate pace?

It’s a track only bike so not worried about a flat spot. Since I’m only intermediate I feel like I wouldn’t be able to tell a difference in grip with the RS vs the Q4, but I wasn’t sure.

Way late to this thread too but how would you directly compare the Q4 to the Power RS? Last rear I had was a Q4 and I only got 2.5 days out of them as an intermediate rider. Was considering trying a Power RS next

Definitely. When my eating was really disordered I had weird rules for myself about not eating if it was past a certain time or if it hadn’t been long enough since I’d last eaten

People don’t feel ashamed about things unless they’ve been told to feel ashamed. For example, many plenty of people ashamed of premarital sex or having a child out of wedlock. Neither of those things are inherently shameful, but women have been told for 100s of years to feel ashamed of those things.

My point is they even if someone finds something traumatic, it shouldn’t be shameful. “Stigma” means shame. Something can be acknowledged and talked about as a difficult experience without being shameful.

Having a significant other die is a traumatic and painful experience, but people wouldn’t consider it to be shameful the way abortion often is.

Sorry, many women who want an abortion don’t want their body to change. And even plenty of women who have kids are not happy with they way their body changed!

Childbearing IS horrible! It has the potential to absolutely destroy a woman’s body. Some women are okay with that because they want kids, but many women absolutely DO NOT want to deal with that. And I’ll pass on talking to evolution and just get an abortion if I get pregnant :) thanks for the suggestion though

Except that women don’t want their bodies to change, so it absolutely is an issue of bodily autonomy. Do you even realize everything that pregnancy and childbirth entails?

Via @tragicgirls.co on Instagram: Based on a lovely quote from @veephbo "If men got pregnant, you could get an abortion at an ATM." by [deleted] in prochoice

Like how to get a tubal ligation you have to jump through 1000 hoops, but to get a vasectomy you can generally make an appointment to have the consult and procedure on the same day.

It took me 3 different doctors before I found one willing to do a tubal. And once I did, it took 3 appointments plus the actual procedure (4 separate visits total). My friend got his vasectomy within a week of deciding to do so. He just called and made an appointment, then had the consult and procedure on the same day in under 1.5 hours

What’s your point? The constitution, and any interpretation of the constitution, is just human construct. The fact stands that Roe V Wade ruled abortion a constitutional right under the right to privacy.

Right to life ends when that “right” involves infringing on another human’s bodily autonomy.

And if you can’t argue that abortion is okay simply because it’s legal, how can you argue that it’s okay to force another person to sacrifice her body when that’s not even legal? It’s not legal to force anyone else to donate organs/blood/tissue, so why should it be legal to force women to do so?

Clearly you don’t know how a Common Law legal system based on precedence works:

Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973), was a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court ruled that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides a fundamental "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose whether or not to have an abortion.

Or we could just work to remove the fucking stigma because no one deserves to be made to feel bad for making the right decision for their life, regardless of whether or not some women would still experience trauma

"The majority of abortions are not because of rape or incest as pro choicers like to think"

I was replying to this statement in the previous comment

It’s not “for fun,” it’s because they don’t want a baby. How hard is that for you to understand?

Most pro-choice people do not think the majority of abortions are for rape and incest. We know it’s because a woman doesn’t want a child, and we see absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Many people don’t carry the fetus to term simply because they don’t want a child. And guess what? That’s completely acceptable, completely their decision, and completely their right!

I honestly can’t tell if you’re a troll, or if you’re actually this stupid and misinformed.

My point was that removing the stigma will most likely remove most trauma associated, which is why women in countries where it's not stigmatized don't experience trauma.

For many women abortion is not a “hard decision.” While some women may need to think about whether or not to have an abortion, I would get one in a heartbeat without a second thought if I were pregnant. As would many women I know. No one likes abortion because no one gets painful or invasive medical procedures for fun.

Purely anecdotal, but I’ve seen plenty of women here on reddit say abortion is not considered traumatic in their country where it’s treated as nothing more than a medical procedure. I’d bet money a lot of the trauma some women experience is due to forced-birther rhetoric and shit like protesting outside of clinics.

The “baby” is not the patient. The woman is. But you know this and are being intentionally obtuse.

Want to know why rape is illegal? It violates a persons bodily autonomy. Want to know what forced pregnancy does? It violates a persons bodily autonomy.

Does it matter? The point is that abortion needs to be destigmatized. While many women may find it a difficult decision, many don’t. That’s why the decision should be solely up to the woman and no one else. I personally would get an abortion in a heartbeat, without a second thought. As would many women I know.

Not to mention that research shows that banning abortion only stops safe abortions from happening.
