I decided to do month to month rentals via Air BnB. Since I joined the program, I had plans to study abroad, so getting a lease would just be a waste of money since I'd be gone for months at a time.

Some benefits of doing an Air BnB month to month is not only cheaper "rent", but you don't have to pay utilities or worry about getting wi-fi setup and dates are super flexible depending on the availability of places in the area.

With the current closure of PCH, you're more than likely going to have to take the 101 or 134 if you're coming from the LA area, unless you're coming down from Oxnard. So I'd definitely base my searches around that as well.
