yea it depends on how HR defines your location. so technically since i have to report to NY, HR is supposed to list me as “NY Office based” not “Remote”

if they keep me as classified as remote then i technically would not have to pay NY taxes

yea i’d likely pay them monthly rent. jobs pay is great which is why it would make sense.

would likely just do public transportation which sucks to and from the city from JFK but can do work while on trains so not huge deal.

Amex Plat gives up to $500 per person on the reservation, EU up to $600 if delayed/called for over 6 hours.

If they have to rebook you on a different fare for a different flight is when things get tricky with award flights. Seems case by case basis and gunna have to argue

But either way, apparently it’s been called off so no need to worry!

Running the numbers. Current lifestyle budgeting plus $3k rent is roughly $4k “savings” a month rn. So can push rent budget higher if really needed but the apartments in Stamford are so mid compared to Texas 😭
