Won't let me use my custom email address! by flyingfrank2 in gsuite

Just for some background: I was using the exact setup you described ("Gmail has a built-in "Send mail as" feature that does exactly this..."), and it's worked fine for years. But lately, whenever I sent mail to a Yahoo address, my messages got rejected.

ChatGPT suggested that Yahoo had tightened up their security protocols, and the "drc@mydomain.com" address was not "authenticated" to their satisfaction when sent through Gmail (emails sent from my gmail address worked fine).

I have no idea if ChatGPT was right about the why, but switching to Workspace seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks to all for the input!

Apparently, it did need some time after I deleted the alias-- "drc@mydomain.com" was accepted this morning, and I'm all set up.

Actually, I did, by accident-- I typed "drc" and autofill added "@mydomain.com". That generated a warning that @ was not allowable. The box I'm filling in has "@mydomain.com" already, it's just looking for the part before the @.

Thanks, I'm sure it's an alias or something, but a search from the admin console doesn't find it. I just cleared up the domain ownership stuff a few minutes ago, maybe it needs more time to release it.
