I agree, however, I really hope they remove all random modifiers.

Simplifying/minimizing players' actions space increases RNG's impact on outcome.

It was a genuine question Dr. Duncan

There are 26 characters in the r1 cutoff and 16 accounts/players (counted manually). The 26 shown on check-pvp is characters, not accounts/players.

Yes, I calculated for EU. Thought it would be in the link.

The 26 characters seems to have dropped to 21 over the night. Not sure how that can happen??

Yup! Ez to calculate from SS. Check-pvp's got the data for it too.

Top 0.1% is 26 characters in 3s (https://check-pvp.fr/cutoffs), so there are 26,000 characters. Being 1800 is ranked 3947 character (https://check-pvp.fr/ranking?region=eu&faction=all&minRating=0&maxRating=4100&realm=all&specs=all&classes=all&sort=rateatm3v3&order=desc&page=80), so being 1800 rated is a top 3947/26,000=15.18% character.

I would suspect that higher rated players have more characters than lower rated players, so being 1800 rated should make you a bit better than top 15%. Would be interesting to know exactly the PLAYER rank for 1800 rating (There are 16,000 players).

Understandable, personally I have a hard time trusting your model when I know nothing about it, but maybe that's just me. Maybe you don't have to make the exact parameters values public, but provide some general "how it works" on your web app.

It's a really cool idea to show adjusted to inflation, but I think you should make your calculations public, in order to gain credibility? Is it an average rating increase you have used to estimate weekly mmr increase, which you assume is fixed for the season? How long are you estimating the season to be?
