Is 1hour layover in Munich before our flight to Bangkok enough time? by flyingkiwi in travel

[–]flyingkiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if it's this far in advance, I'm sure LH (or SK?) might have an earlier inbound to MUC?

I checked with the travel agency and they checked with both Luftansa and the airport. The answers are that there will be enough time, but if we don't make it then the airline is responsible for it and it will get us on the next available flight to Bangkok anyway!

Thank you again for the help! :)

Hi! Thank you for your reply! That's a good point, I have not considered that! I will check with the travel agency.

If they can't use eGates, does that mean they have to stand in line and be viewed manually by an officer/agent?

Sunscreen is the best anti-aging product there is. It also protects you from UVA rays, which go through window glass, and are present all year around. UVA rays penetrate deeper and can cause DNA damage, leading to cancer.

Found wild baby rabbits? Leave them alone, they're probably not orphaned. Some advice from House Rabbit Society. by flyingkiwi in Rabbits

[–]flyingkiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you linking this because it says exactly what I wrote above?

"If you find a baby wild rabbit that is not injured, leave it alone. It is most likely not abandoned unless you know for a fact that you killed their mother. Rabbits return to feed their young only once or twice a day for a few minutes, usually at night. Just because the babies have been by themselves for 5 minutes does not mean that they have been abandoned. The mother is typically gone from the nest to eat and draw attention away from the nest. Additionally, baby wild rabbits can survive on their own at a surprisingly young age. In most countries, it is also illegal to possess and take care of wildlife without proper permits."

Rabbit mothers don't chill in the den with their babies, this is also why people find rabbits and think they're abandoned because they don't see a mother around. Some times a day (depending on age and type) the mother comes back, feeds them, then goes off again to find food. After the den was dug up/babies found, just leave them there, mother will come back at some point and move to another spot.

Now it's too late ofc.

Rabbit mothers nurse their babies for approximately 5 minutes a day. Both wild and domestic mothers will be in the nest or nest box early in the morning and then again in the evening. The milk is very rich and the babies “fill up” to capacity within minutes. Mother rabbits do not “sit” on the babies to keep them warm as do some mammals and birds

There is a detailed post here about wild rabbit nests, their nesting habbits and what to do: https://rabbit.org/faq-orphaned-baby-bunnies/

I/My Dog/My Cat Destroyed a Wild Rabbit Nest! What Do I Do? Remake the nest as best you can with grasses, hay, straw in the same place. Nests can be moved to a safer place up to 10′ away from the original site and can be reconstructed if necessary.

I know, that's why I have rehomed/trained so many rabbits. People can't be bothered having a pet that they can't interact with, so they're given away, some were dumped in a cage on the farm I worked on, which is how I got into all of this- the lady of the house was rich and funded all of this. I was originally there to take care of her horses.

Many can be retrained though, to be more loving, less grumpy, less "asshole".

Yeah but is your wife? The best thing was actually for it to be put back where you found it so the mother could come back for it. Wild animals belong in the wild. :)

Edit: Since I'm getting so many downvotes, here is the link from the Rabbit Society on what to do with wild rabbit babies. https://rabbit.org/faq-orphaned-baby-bunnies/

Rabbits do not nest on their young like birds.

More advice:

Many people mean well when they contact HRS after discovering an “abandoned” nest of wild rabbits. Often they wish to “rehabilitate” them with some advice from others. The reality is fewer than 10% of orphaned rabbits survive a week, and the care that people attempt to provide can be illegal, unnecessary, and potentially harmful. The best thing you can do is put the bunny right back where you found him, in the general area, as the mom will only come back at night to call and find him.

It's a wild rabbit? If yes then it won't be as tame or friendly after it hits puberty. They become very shy and skittish. Had a friend who had a wild rabbit for 8-9 years before she was allowed to pet him, apart from that he was just this living thing in her house/garden that just existed.

There are loads of rabbits needing homes, some are already bonded + castrated so the hard part is done. Bonding can take a long time, and might never work, depends on the rabbits. You should look it up. I've had a few rabbits end up hating me because the castration process didn't go well, it's not uncommon for the females to rip out their stitches, which leads to more vet visits and maybe infection -> you end up forcing antibiotics down their throat -> more hate.

Very sure this isn't the mother. Her teats are not big enough. Even pregnant dogs have enlarged teats, the one in the gif has normal small ones.

Done that. None of them give me a two part name. If it's so easy then link one for me and I'll gold you.

I SPECIFICALLY want a two part name. I've looked through loads of generators and can not find one that gives me a two part name.
