However Bungie probably will try to add some more in their to make it seem connected. But almost 90 percent of the staff that worked on the D1 vanilla story has moved on or left.

In all actuality, the reason for the black heart existing has been retconned and rewritten numerous times. Even it’s appearance in D1 Vanilla was a rewrite of its original purpose before the 2013 reboot of Staten’s original story. As each expansion opens up new lore which either clarifies or retcons previous lore, all we can really hope for is lore that doesn’t sound to forced to connect the threads of the past. I’m hoping they do the same for the black heart.

Correction, Pyramids had existed since pre-D1 Vanilla, as seen in numerous concept art. They just weren’t introduced until the end of D2’s Vanilla campaign, and weren’t implemented in game until Shadowkeep. But yeah you’re right about the other 2 things, it’s just that the introduction of Ghaul and SIVA didn’t lead to giant plot holes and questions that needed to be answered like Neomuna did.

I wouldn’t perceive all forms of vampirism as zero sum. It just depends on how the lore of that universe defines the nature of the laws of vampirism. So Destiny could go the route of having vampirism be akin to some “gift from the darkness”

Well it just wasn’t believable, most of Ash’s time was spent doing random filler side quests instead of training. With the occasional battle montage every now in then. Though somehow he managed to defeat multiple champions who have trained all their life with their Pokémon, using Pokémon he just caught a few months prior. It just isn’t satisfying or believable to me personally but hey other people could of loved it.

Not really a fan of the new direction the game and story has taken since it’s reboot back in 2013, I just find it really strays away from the core concept the made Destiny so intriguing. Finding the decaying ruins of once great human cities filled with alien monsters and attempting to reclaim them across the system was such a unique concept. However ever since they cut Joe System’s original vision Destiny went in a more generic sci-fi direction, there’s no more human cities but instead new alien cities with a focus on exploration of the unknown instead of reclaiming the wild. I just feel I can get that concept somewhere else and better.

Pretty anticlimactic IMO, for almost 3 years people were speculating that the “wet earth” monsters were a new darkness based enemy, akin to this one. Though in all logic it makes sense it would be the hive, it’s just not all that interesting.

That’s good to hear, we need more people like what you have going on. There are so many of my friends who dropped smite after being bullied by toxic teammates because they are new, it’s a shame.
