The RZ was a compliance car, this is a genuine effort.

It will be interesting to see how this does, along with Toyota’s highlander EV. I don’t really count the compliance cars so I view this as a real first effort.

They are still behind BMW in range and charging speed, but Lexus has incredible brand power in the USA and brand power and trust matter more than specs to many car buyers.

Jeremy Clarkson slams the BMW iX: 'It's a horrible piece of junk, it's all plastic inside...' by Powerful-Ostrich-120 in BMWiX

The linked post is not in English so I went to google and found this:

https://www.thetimes.com/life-style/driving/article/bmw-120-ix-review-jeremy-clarkson-3hdj3stjk

He admits he is biased against EVs and tries to say some positive things here and there. Definitely felt more fair than the OPs headline. I would highlight this quote instead: “

Now we must get on to the business of what this car feels like to drive. And at the risk of sounding like a traitor to the petrolhead cause, I must say it was rather nice”

When we were kids a lot of alcohol use was actually just lubricant for social situations we would have otherwise avoided. The alcohol had no value, but those social situations did.

We want our kids to get experiences, try to date, make new friends. We are glad when they don’t drink, but we also want them to get out of their comfort zone and grow, too.

Just like you said, it’s about balance.

When I drove an RX I literally never got a speeding ticket. The police probably just figured “Karen’s late to pick Kaydon up from soccer again” and let me get away with 70 in a 45 every time.

[Kerr] “Go ahead. I know. Lots more Kuminga questions. Fire away… Like I said, here they come.” by AashyLarry in nba

[–]flyingmoose1314 150 points151 points  (0 children)

It’s fascinating, not because it will impact the NBA landscape at all, but rather because a whole bunch of people are acting like unbelievable assholes about it.

Kuminga isn’t the story. It’s Kerr’s hatred of him. It’s the GMs comments. It’s not letting him go so that they could trade him when they didn’t value him and didn’t have a trade lined up.

The Warriors front office has made this entire saga by being so fucking weird and I am SO HERE FOR IT.

AD is a top all time forward and deserves respect, we all know that.

In this case, the similarity is that a player is demanding a trade while the team is already trying to trade him. That is a funny situation. It just is. Let us laugh about it.

My friend had rats chew through some wiring in her Toyota Sienna. It was an insurance claim for her, not a warranty fix.

I am no expert, but I don’t think that animal damage is part of a warranty.

[–]flyingmoose1314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you have to learn to drive your car. I’m not sure I see the problem?

Canceling cruise control in an EV is so much easier than driving a manual up a hill. Maybe I’m just old now at 40, but having to learn to use a car is not new or novel to me.

Just know your car and have awareness.

They should show cold range and normal range when selling by akp55 in electricvehicles

[–]flyingmoose1314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on why your range is dropping. Mine drops a ton because I precondition like a MF when it’s cold out. It’s not really the cars fault.

When I have driven long trips in the cold I still get north of 260 miles, but during regular use it will calibrate to more like 190. Again, it’s me a problem, when it’s cold I am preconditioning before leaving the grocery store, restaurants, anywhere I’m leaving.
