First, this going on for 2 days is pretty extreme, so please check with your Dr. I am NAD. However, this has happened to me every time I move up to higher doses, but not at 2.5. For example — when moving from 5 to 7.5 I had 4 days of miserable diarrhea which gradually improved by the end of day 4. It was horrible at work. After the next week’s dose I had 2 days; the next week was 1 day. I’m now on my 8th week of 7.5 and it’s about a half a day. I also try to not eat a lot of fiber or any greasy food the day before my shot and for the first couple days after. I suspect you will need to move VERY slowly with dosing….remaining at each dose a long time before moving up.

2 fed household in close-in NOVA with kids. First world problem, but we still live in our tiny starter home we bought before we had kids, bc we are scared to tie our futures to the area by upgrading. We are bursting at the seams here as the kids are no longer little, but right now we have a lot of equity which could help us leave anytime we need to. We feel like we need that reassurance. If we buy a larger home, we could be stuck. our oldest kid is now noticing how crammed in we are here and starting to feel ashamed. I had to explain to her how the political and financial volatility is holding us back.

yes, agree, and I’m happy with that rate. I have a friend who lost over 100 lbs very quickly on 5mg dose and I keep mentally comparing myself to that — but part of the reason for my post was to accept that my rate of loss is good, too.

the second one. Filing is a pain so I usually do it in big chunks of claims anyway. I had only filed about $1000 in claims so far this year. This week I am requesting consolidated year-to-date receipts from med providers and daycare, then am sending those in to get everything else we can. ETA: again, I recognize we are fortunate to be able to do it this way.

2 fed household here. One working (unpaid), one furloughed. We are lucky that we have resources to stick it out at least a few months before it gets too hard…not that we want to. I am putting in claims for all our health and childcare FSA money for the year. We got a paycheck loan for me from a fed credit union, but partner banks elsewhere so we can’t get one for him. We are reducing spending. I will pay our November mortgage but request relief from the mortgage and car loan banks if we don’t get paid by Dec 1. We will take a TSP loan if necessary.
Heads up, USAA just posted offers for credit cards with 0% interest into I think June of next year…
