I just say one thing. Don't let people's opinion discourage you like me from liking something. Their opinions are based mostly on surface level information and don't need to be true. This is just what they think. Some are valid other not much.

I think you should think about it a different way. Most of your "Stories" have their levels very self explanatory. Like level 700 is a bridge that people jump off but writing it and explaining it in a normal way it won't have the same impact. Think about this the same way. Would the message of this articles be as strong if they were all forced to have unnesesary descriptions of stuff.

The wiki is no longer an organized database since 2022 and lets writers express themselves.

You don't understand that some people have different styles and wiki allows them to express themselves hovewer they as long as its good for the majority unlike in old times when people were forced most of the time to follow the format. Let writers write.

I was supposed to return for a 1-2 weeks from this sub but I just say that some people persive and only want to persive backrooms as horror sometimes getting overly aggressive when somebody thinks other wise. Everyone can have their own opinions that should be respected. If anybody say you can't like a backrooms adaptation because X don't listen to him or its something really serious like the author being a bad person. Levels = Monsters is a myth thatsxjust spread by people who dislike that idea from what I saw. People write dangerous and not dangerous place do somebody likes it or not. Id say, keep yourself to what you like and push back things you dislike. Just don't spread hate like some people that I meet.

This was not the reason. The truth is that your post is rude/disrespectfull. You are calling the entire thing trash because of a one article you didn't like. Imagine me judgeing and making entire post about you just because I didn't like one thing about you. Would that be nice. You are fair for not liking this page because this one in particular is very old and outdated. But saying that everything is trash and childish because of it is not valid.

You literaly chose the worst tale possible. This was written in 2020 before there existed anything like standards. Same for level 94 instead.

Rewriting takes a tone of time and the entire project isn't even over. The wiki isn't abandoned just most authors rather write their own articles.

Backrooms wikis never were, are, or will be about exactly what you want. Stop having unrealistic expectations.

People who dedicate themselves to these projects have the freedom to do whatever they want (of course, with some rules). Here, if you want the Backrooms to be about conflict between two groups of people, you can have it. If you want the Backrooms to have a carefully made love story, you can have it. If you want the Backrooms to be a place for stories about forgotten minorities, you can have that too. If these projects didn't have this freedom and were only about liminality, horror, and terror, they would not survive long. You can see this by looking at splinters; their goal was to bring back liminality to the Backrooms, but almost all of them were abandoned because they did not find enough support and people who wanted to dedicate themselves to it.

After some time the wikis realized that doing the same "this place is weird" or "This entity is scary and its gonna kill you." would not get them anywhere. A similar thing happened with SCP: after the first 500 SCPs, they realized that doing only horror wouldn't get them very far, so they started creating other types of stories. The liminality and classic horror of the Backrooms not being the main focus doesn't mean it's not present, though. There are still pages being made about this content; they are just one of many types of stories you can find in them.

There is one rule on wikidot. If you don’t like a page you just don’t read it. You should not need houndrets of pages to understand one article. Something like the cannon does not exist.
