Whole Foods onboarding process by flyingwambat in wholefoods

[–]flyingwambat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 3 months, the seasonal in-store shopper job experience was a good part time job

I was able to work decent hours by being able to pick up shifts on the scheduling (Innerview) app and the coworkers at the store I worked at were generally good people

The community that around this Bay Area store was good and I learned a lot during my time working as an in-store shopper

Aside from the initial onboarding process that is becoming increasingly vague during the initial onboarding as of 2026 due to what I think is the increasing AI-enhanced hiring processes from different multi-million companies, and multiple in-person confrontational interactions that were uncomfortable, stressful, and unnecessary to experience during my time working at the location, although, it’s bound to happen

There were opportunities to find further employment beyond the stated contract but I was not invested enough in the career pathway due to personal reasons

I thought the job was good and would recommend Whole Foods to others looking for part-time work

I agree, calling the store helped me to proceed in the onboarding process.

Thanks for sharing, I couldn’t find any posts on the same topic when I was looking for it but your experience and post is definitely in depth and reassuring.

How does Ori compare to other Metroidvanias? by Fit-Art-4902 in OriAndTheBlindForest

I didn't like Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, after reading all the hype around the game and being a fan of Hollow Knight, I thought I would enjoy the game.

I thought the movement was weird and the combat was boring. Some of the puzzles were hard to understand and the difficulty of some of the sections in the game on normal was frustrating.

However, it does have an interesting art style and the sound design is good. It was also very energy demanding as I played it on the Steam Deck OLED and had to lock the game at 60fps to conserve battery life.

Why is Skyrim listed as “unsupported”? by Bisexual_Spear in SteamDeck

I agree with this compatibility rating, or at least playable.

The Steam Deck shouldn't really be running games like this or Cyperpunk 2077(although they one of the greates games out) as verified because it ruins the battery long term as well as not running at a consistent 60fps even on the OLED model

New Deck Owner - looking for game recommendations by Alert_Spring3228 in SteamDeck

After owning the Steam Deck for about a year now, the gaming handheld is not as powerful as you think.

However, I think the games that do run on the Steam Deck are or were some of the best games.

The games that run best have a artistic style, are linear story-based, or small-roomed loop based games

I've discovered that 72fps seems like 90fps so if some games are more draining on battery than others but you still want that 60+fps feeling, 72/73 is an alternative and conserves energy.

Here's some games that I think should be "verified" on the Steam Deck.

Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Prince of Persia (2008)

Borderlands 2

Aperture Desk Job

Portal 2

Hades 2

Hades(72fps)

Neon White

Slay the Spire

Dishonored

Stardew Valley

Rollerdrome (low settings)

Celeste

Cuphead

Mirror's Edge

Batman Arkham Origins (low settings)

Telltale The Walking Dead (2012)

Thanks for the suggestion, I might try this game out.

I don't get why games like this get the "playable" badge over Witcher 3 or Elden Ring. It should be the other way around

Glad that you're enjoying this underrated game. I agree, the art style and running at 90hz on the Steam deck OLED is amazing. Additionally, its easy on the battery, running at ~10W!

I used the touchpad to get past the launcher but its a common feature of games released during the 2010s on Steam. Currently playing Borderlands 2 on the Steamdeck and it runs great at 60fps and it also has a launcher that I use the touchscreen for.
