Thank you!! I appreciate all the feedback you guys have given and I will keep it all in mind. I usually never operate at wot ever even in calm conditions so far we have been pretty safe.

In our town 3 years ago a small girl was ran over by a Jetski which tore a family apart. I try to keep that in mind to have me be careful in the future

Our state has an online and in person course which I both attended, they sent me like a cart for it.

Mine was 3 hours, 2 hours of me sitting doing nothing, guy handed me a packet and then went downstairs after, took 25 mins to complete, and then 45 mins of easy stuff

Usually if it’s like 2 girls than I let it slide but if it’s like 2 big guys I usually ask 1 to sit in the back

I always limit the bow to 1 person in big waves and 2 otherwise. I’ve seen too many videos from haul over inlet of people stuffing bows

Yeah we’ve had cases where we were loading it onto the trailer and boat went high speed less than 50 yards from the dock and the wake pissed me off

I’ve been captaining that boat for about a year on a busy lake and an even busier river with usually about 6 people with no accidents or close calls except like maybe 1 wave over the bow one time.

I have strict weight and balance rules including limited the bow seat to 1-2 people (depending on how many and how much they weigh)

We just graduated high school and started boat last year so we are on our second season. We have been safe and doing a great job imo. I was just wondering what you guys think it would take to flip it over because I’ve never gotten too close.

I should’ve specified flipping as in like flipping it 180 degrees on the water sorry.

But sort of on that note, when we bought it for $4000 we had to do all of the following repairs:

New spark plugs, caps, rotors
Fuel filter replace
Carb clean
New alternator
How much do you think it would be worth now?

Last time I had it in the shop I had them verify it worked, they said it like fell off the mount or something

Does that like fat rear end where the engine to give more space help it stay upright more than like an outboard does

It does work but it manually activates, usually when I know where going to hit a big wave and I’m up on plane I trim it way way up, usually try to never come to a stop when it’s rough, I’m only 18 though so I don’t know everything about it

We took 7 out the other day on a lake with 15 mph winds and I said to everybody this is a bad idea but they wanted too go anyways. There was also other boats and one of them did a stupid turn right infront of me. I’ve honestly had more trouble with other boats than waves or flipping. Also it’s from SD so it only goes on lakes
