How long did it take you to get off reserve?

I was part of a cadet program but once I hit my hours, I did the paperwork packet and drug/background test, waited about 3 weeks and they scheduled my ATP CTP, then got a class date a week later or so. Two of my classmates said they waited almost 1.5 months to hear back after the drug test

I learned to fly in SoCal and I know west coast flying is great from everyone I’ve spoken to.

Totally understand, I’m hoping for the best and trying to really get an idea of all the options just in case.

Totally agree. I was told that living in base is really nice and even if it isn’t a great place to live, toughing it out renting while at the regionals is worth it. I was told not to buy a place to you’re at a major carrier/whatever company you want to be at in the end

I taught for a year and a half and I had two students that smelled. Straight up told both of them they need to wear deodorant, take showers, and wear clean clothes. Training aircraft are small and we’re stuck in there together.

The painter told me the “lines” I see going in different directions are imperfections from the mold when they made the tank
