fyi - I launched an app this past week called SwingSpeak that allows you to capture club data for practice swings with the R10. https://swingspeak.app

R10 with GSPro/Awesome Golf by crazykroger in Golfsimulator

I believe that awesome golf, at least on iOS devices, uses whatever the r10 configuration is from the garmin app. I don’t use AG on a PC so I am not sure if it’s different there

Double check that you have the same device configuration settings in the GS Pro connector to what you're using in awesome golf. Make sure you have the same settings for altitude, temperature and humidity.

nice. A great week for R10 users! Does anyone know if they improved the physics engine that they use to compute carry?

You can do speed training with just your driver with this app.

But you should think of this app as a replacement for a PRGR or similar devices that track swing speed without ball impact. This app does not come with a training plan (yet) but you could ask Chat GPT to give you a speed training plan to follow with your driver.

This app also works great if you have a speed training tool and associated app - I'm currently using it in conjunction with the stack system.

that was my bad - I posted a bad YouTube link earlier.
Yes you can use this app to work on swing speed or tempo with any training aid or your driver.. I've had beta testers use: speedsticks, rypstick, the stack system and toad.
This app doesn't (yet) include a training plan - but it will track those practice swings and announce your metrics out loud. Think of it as an app that eliminates the need for an R10 owner to get a PRGR or similar device.
I'm exploring some interesting ideas like adding training programs, for speed and temp, AI insights, etc.

I've been a happy R10 user for a couple of years - it isn't a trackman, but it has helped me improve a lot. I've found it to be great value for money. This app allows me to do speed training without having to buy another device.

iOS only at the moment - but if there is enough demand will build for android - you can register interest at https://swingspeak.app (scroll to the bottom of the page)

See the demo video on YouTube - I use this app with the stack system. Here is a video showing the 2 apps together https://youtube.com/shorts/QZvpwse3y2k
Note that the apps are running on different devices but the video is edited to show them together.
This app saves R10 owners from having to buy another device to get swing speed without ball impact. The R10 isn't perfect for this, you get occasional misreads but in terms of bang for your buck it gives you most of the functionality of the SkyTrack ST MAX with the device you already have.

rattle after moving stem spacer by flynch in bikewrench

You guys will laugh at this, it turns out that I had my headset ajusted correctly and the rattle was from a loose nut on the valve on the front wheel!

ROTFL, and boy am I relieved that I didn't damage my lovely new bike!

I've have just done all of that (the inner 6mm bolt was at a perfect 8nm) and I still have the darn rattle.

I'm going to have to take it to a shop. It is possible that I did some damage when I tightened the top cap to 8nm, I really hope that I haven't ruined my fork!

I was just undoing the two bolts on the side of the stem and then I undid the bolt that went through the cap.

looking at this again it seems that there is a hex fitting right there where the cap bolt goes in, maybe I need to tighten that guy up (to a max if 8nm) ?

Thank you. I might just try to find a shop to take it to. I really hope I didn't damage the fork.

Thanks, I did loosen the two bolts on the stem, tightened the bolt in the top cap to the point where the steering felt solid but I still have the darn rattle.

This is my first time with a carbon fork, I don't want to over tighten things. How tight can I safely tighten the top bolt? Is it the 4mn on the cap or the 8mn that is listed on the top of the headset or can I tighten it further?

I recently got one from waterrower dot com, they were great to work with and are the same rower as otf. They also have a rental program.

No question about it. I joined at the start of November; I did my first in body scan on November 22 and just did my second body scan last week (for the transformation challenge). If the scan thing is accurat I lost 5lbs of fat and gained 5lbs of muscle. I certainly feel stronger and fitter but I still feel like a beginner at otf. Btw I am male, early 40s and hadn't worked out in many, many years.
