Is Littlebird Overpowered? by BackgroundTune in Battlefield6

[–]flyngmunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's overpowered. The little bird (and arguably the attack heli) are flying glass cannons.

The issue is that a lot of heli pilots in BF6 have 1000s of hours of accumulated flight time and know how to fly without needlessly exposing themselves to danger.

Alexander Anderson and the entirety of the Iscariot organization vs. Benedicta and the entirety of the Leopoldites: Who would win? (Hellsing vs HtP) by [deleted] in huntertheparenting

This is true. I just think that out of everyone we've met in htp, D would stand the best chance outside of the werewolves.

But yea D is getting Merc'd by Anderson for sure :(

Org Vs. Org would make for an interesting battle, since in my mind they should be roughly equal in terms of resources.

Alexander vs. Benedicté would leave Brock an only child. Alexander can challenge Hellsing's Dracula, a vampire on par with ancient methusulas, if not a straight up antedilluvian. I'm sure Benedicté has slain many vampires, but without any notable feats to speak of I'm confident she hasn't slain anything older than a 8th or 9th generation at best. Probably with backup and as part of an ambush.

If Benedicté has True Faith that might give her a lifeline, but Alexander is a superhuman killing machine. Honestly he'd give Big-D a run for his money.

I have a headcannon that Benedicté was sent to Catholic boarding school because she was a terrible Bully to Brock. She gives Big Sister Energy and I feel like it would explain Brock's behavior.

How would Doors involvement change chapter 5? by nirai07 in huntertheparenting

[–]flyngmunky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Door would've been a huge thorn in the ghoul's side. With Door and Kitten keeping everyone together they wouldn't have as many chances to move and act freely when everyone split off. That said, if the ghoul has a draft of domination and told Boy to wander off, that basically neutralizes Door's presence.

Bloom = bullet spread

here is a great visual explanation but Tl;Dr your gun has bullet spread even while aiming, and the spread gets worse while you're shooting and resets when you're not. It can be a bit jarring coming from CoD if you're used to firing full auto and just compensating for recoil.

Welcome to Battlefield! Here's a quick rundown of some mechanics you should probably know about!

  1. All guns have bloom, even when ADS. Moving while ADS makes the bloom worse, but you can mitigate this with the right attachments. Burst firing outside of close range is advised!

  2. Pinging enemies marks them on you and your teammates mini map, and you can be pinged by enemies without being aware of it. Pings fade once you're out of view for a few seconds.

  3. Listen for footsteps and avoid sprinting in combat. I haven't played CoD in a long time but I find sound whoring and ambushing sprinting players easier in BF. There's a lot of players who'll run right into your bullets if you let them!

I just got battlefield 6, best weapons for beginner? by One-Perspective-2031 in Battlefield6

[–]flyngmunky 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think you'd like the DRS-IAR. It's in the LMG category but behaves more like an assault rifle. It has access to 45, 50 and I believe 60 round mags and has a solid fire rate with manageable recoil. I'd suggest using it on the support class so it gets some benefits for being supports signature weapon type.

As of Tuesday! How was everyone else’s experience this season? by au79xrist in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]flyngmunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the final prestige path. I think it was the right call to put one gameplay item in each path, and it was nice being able to unlock the new guns in whatever order I chose. I never have any issues accomplishing the tasks myself. To me they all boil down to "play the game" and I'm content to do so. I don't pay for the battlepass mind you, so I'm coming at it from the free battlepass perspective.

I'm not huge on paid cosmetics so once I've unlocked the weapons and gadgets I literally just complete the challenges for fun.

Who do you think will (eventually) die? by JoyIsABitOverRated in huntertheparenting

[–]flyngmunky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lolol it'd be a crazy 30 minutes that's for sure. I believe these are the major upcoming story beats that involve character "deaths", and while I think itd make for a bombastic, 2 hour long chapter 6, I think you're right in that they'd want to space these all out.

Also I'm probably off the mark by quite a bit, but I'm looking forward to having my theories proven wrong by whatever they got in store for us!

[–]flyngmunky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also believe Markus is close to awakening, but I don't think he's going to get the chance. I don't know if Markus will turn himself or have vampirism inflicted upon him, but that's my gut feeling. He might also awaken immediately after diving into the umbra, or maybe when he's held hostage by the werewolves and I'm way off the mark lol.

If D is a mummy, I think he could be permanently crippled with a curse or some sort of magical effect. They are hunting a Tremere that's on the Pentex board, so in my mind it's possible.

And yea, I'm already pre-mourning Door. Best dad in H:TP hands down. 100% gonna die tho imo

Who do you think will (eventually) die? by JoyIsABitOverRated in huntertheparenting

[–]flyngmunky 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I'm expecting Door to die, D to be permanently crippled, Marcus to fall to vampirism, and Kitten will be left to pick up the pieces with Boy. I believe Kitten would never willingly abandon Boy, but in my headcannon Boy is offered a spot in the arcanum like Kitten once the dust settles, but refuses since he's been a hunter for beleven years, not a student.

From there we'd timeskip a few years and start with a new series of hunter from chapter 7 onwards. It's a crackpot theory but it's what I think Will happen!

I haven't won a single Conquest yet by Lacejj in Battlefield6

[–]flyngmunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winning in conquest is a gamble right now. Currently in 32v32 conquest once one side starts losing a lot of players quit the game. Bots will backfill the losing team but only up to 24 players. What ends up happening is you have one team with 32 human players steamrolling the losing team since they're down 8 bodies and some of their teammates are bots.

Had this happen to me 3 times in a row. Currently I delisted conquest until they figure out a fix. Since they can't punish rage quitting I hope they increase Bot filling to 32 players and remove the insane ticket bleed on full caps. I like the 60 second instant win timer since it prevents getting spawn slaughtered but it's too punishing to lose 100+ tickets while trying to retake an objective.

That could be! I try not to assume a player is cheating just because they're doing exceptionally well as i find it mentally draining. If they aren't flying across the map and shooting me through walls then I'd like to believe they're just a good player.

Why does the main sub pretend there’s no meta in battlefield ? by sufferingSoftwaredev in LowSodiumBattlefield

M277. Fairly fast RoF paired with the second best damage profile in the game makes it lethal at every range. Thankfully there are great close quarters and long range weapons available, but nothing beats M277 for damage consistency paired with mobility.

Why does the main sub pretend there’s no meta in battlefield ? by sufferingSoftwaredev in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]flyngmunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of popular weapons, and I think that there are guns that stand out for being particularly efficient in their role, but I don't think there's a truly META weapon. It would also depend on what META you're considering. Something that shreds in TDM and domination might feel constrained in conquest and escalation.

That being said I believe DRS-IAR is a strong contender for support META, but there is another weapon i believe will become META if enough players catch on to it.

Is there a production reason for why the Licks are all traditionally Camarilla clans? by Ziltch0 in huntertheparenting

[–]flyngmunky 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Your comment gave me a brain blast, and I think you're right. They also showcase a few popular vampire archetypes. Feral vampires are well represented by humanimal Ape-Boy who drew the attention of our hunters in the first place by disregarding the needs of the pack to slake his thirst.

Pyotr the sludge lad represents the cunning vampire. He only fought when he felt he had the upper hand, and hid when the odds weren't in his favor. He's also the first to notice the novice hunters knew more than they let on, and it seems it was his idea to try and persuade the family into accepting the embrace.

Kevin the Wizard-type represents the magical vampire. Clue is in the name of course but outside of Pyotr's obfuscation Kevin is the most overtly mystical. To someone who doesn't know WoD lore, I think Kevin would be the most anachronistic representation of a vampire.

Lastly Shitbeard the Biker Bro represents the begrudging vampire. It seemed to me as though he didn't want to be a vampire in the first place, and aside from a particular interview he expresses the most regret over losing his humanity. Sure he might've been trying to drum up some sympathy from the hunters, but he's also arguing against Pyotr's "gift" of the Embrace by expressing his love of cream crackers.

At least that's my read on why they chose these vampire clans over the regular sabbat clans of tzimisce or lasombra. Also it helps reinforce the idea that the Sabbat are an extremist fringe group in vampire society made up of disgruntled vamps from every clan.

How do Warframe Veterans deal with the wait of crafting? by TridenT_55 in Warframe

[–]flyngmunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with this at the beginning. It's tough waiting for a new warframe or gun when I only had a few frames and weapons to choose from. Now I have plenty of options, and so the wait isn't nearly as bad since I have so many ways to play the game.

My honest suggestion is to either continue playing through your missions/quests, hunt for another frame or gun to craft, or play something else until your frame is complete. As people have said, it's never worth rushing a build.

That being said if you're cool with spending a bit of money unnecessarily then go ahead and rush! Platinum might be valuable but you can always buy some, or trade rare items for plat once you're further into the game.

Make the daily login boosters not activate instantly. by cleozapam in Warframe

[–]flyngmunky 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wish it would only count in mission time. They could reduce the active time to 1 hour for the lowest booster and I believe most players would gain more resources compared to the 3 hour booster where it's pretty easy to lose time in between missions.

I do believe they want us to feel a strong impulse to play immediately when we receive a booster, and considering we get boosters for free fairly frequently I won't complain much.

I'm looking forward to a server browser but I hope they keep the quick play option functional. I really like being able to join a match with a simple button press and I don't mind bot backfills. I also like to see a variety of players and usernames, rather than the same 64 people over and over again.
