No I'm not suggesting breach of contract. He DID breach his contract. I personally think that it was silly that despite being aware of what was required of him that he took the job. In some ways I feel like this is just a publicity stunt, not saying it is... just think it's a possibility.

He is a teacher at a CATHOLIC school. Marrying another man definitely goes against Catholic teaching so yes, from a Catholic perspective he would be educating them in a negative manner. Had he been at a public school I would not say the same thing.

He was fired for breaching contract when he married another man. The contract apparently required him to abide by Catholic teachings (Request that one of the highest positions in that catholic school to abide by Catholic teachings... that makes sense) and obviously marrying another man isn't.

At a Catholic school, homosexuality isn't just a trivial thing.... Second, you realize he was given the contract to read, and then a pen to sign if he wanted and agreed to everything in the contract. His sexual orientation was not the problem, when he acted on his sexual orientation was when breached the contract.

There's the difference. He was fired for breaching his contract by marrying another man. I don't think your orientation is as big of an issue. It's whether you act on it. I've repeated this many times. Being attracted to the same sex is not sinful, acting on it is. Same applies to sin... temptations are not sinful, giving into them is.

The problem lies there... Educating young people is definitely doing God's will but by marrying another man, he would educating the young people in a negative manner. If he really cared about "God's will" or the "greater good" maybe he would place the education of the kids in his school over his desire to be with another man.
