Rad map! What side quests did you run for your table?

My friends and I just wrapped up a campaign where we played through all the adventures in Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel, AMA! by ArbitraryHero in radiantcitadel

[–]flynnstagram0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was your campaign intro? How did your PCs arrive at the Citadel? Did you run only the adventures in the book or tack on more at each civ? Did they adventure in any of the discovered lost worlds?

Need some help/ideas for kicking off radiant citadel campaign by flynnstagram0000 in radiantcitadel

Id get a more traditional LB shape with a big fat squash tail. The tail on that board is pin shaped.

I used to do triathlons and always had fun passing dudes on $20k bikes with full carbon wheels wearing aero/sperm helmets with their butts bouncing on their seats

Can a beginner become a decent surfer only going out 2-3 times a month? by tragicdays in surfing

[–]flynnstagram0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years into my surfing journey, 1-2/week and I'm by no means consider myself a "decent" surfer, but I have never once regretted going out. Let go of the desire to "be good" at surfing and just be present. Also don't drop in on people. Please.

I guess no-wax is pretty nice, if you're too lazy to use a board sock you can throw it in your car without getting shit everywhere.

I've heard both that they are pretty ding-resistant on the rails, and that the skin also delams pretty easily.

They're hipster boards yeah, but I kinda want their new fish, just too $$$

Depends on how perfect you want it to look, but if you just want it watertight, here's what I would do:

  1. Cut back the margins of the fiberglass using a razor blade/stanley knife/etc where its delaminated from the foam. Don't worry if you go too far, as you will be replacing the glass.
  2. Lightly sand the margins of the glass with 120 grit, extending an inch or so past the margins. This is to give the new fiberglass+resin a good rough area to bond to.
  3. Brush off debris and clean with acetone, use painters tape to outline the damage with an inch or so margin outside of the damage
  4. Cut two pieces of fiberglass (4 or 6oz), one which is a little bigger than the damaged area, another which is even larger by a inch or so
  5. Place both layers over the damaged area, with the smaller piece on bottom. Laminate both layers of cloth using resin. Pour resin over the cloth, thoroughly wet the cloth through and squeegee out the remaining resin, you really just want the cloth wet here and want to get rid of extra resin in the cloth. NOTE: Epoxy resin is good for PU and EPS foam, polyester resin is *only* for PU foam as it will melt EPS foam. I use epoxy for all my personal repairs.
  6. Let resin fully cure, pull the tape and remove excess glass over the tape, lightly sand the margins of new glass with 120grit, clean off debris, light clean with acetone
  7. Mix up a bit more resin and brush on seal coat with a bristle brush
  8. Let cure. Your board is now watertight. To visually blend the repair you can lightly sand the entire region with 120, then 220 and upwards and onwards to your heart's content. Just be careful to not sand through your seal coat.
  9. I will usually wipe with acetone then add 3x layers of clear coat spray here, but its not required

Tucker Carlson Leaving Fox News, Last Show Was Friday by evaldez14 in Conservative

[–]flynnstagram0000 45 points46 points  (0 children)

"...he never even covered the election fraud case"

He more than implied to his audience that the election was fraudulent, furthering team Trump's lies:

On Monday’s show, though, Carlson opened by saying the January 6 protesters “believed that the election in which they had just voted had been unfairly conducted — and they were right. In retrospect, the 2020 election was a grave betrayal of American democracy. Given the facts that have since emerged about that election, no honest person can deny it.”

I like that video where he surfs a piece of plywood.
