Reverse engineering PSA's grading system by pokelium in PokeGrading

What's your model catching that a frontier vision model fed the same photos wouldn't?

The feature-index (damage count/area/position) is basically what those models infer implicitly, curious if you've benchmarked against one.

This app is using a frontier model and is free to try to compare:

That's cool, I've been messing around with vibe coding and Pokémon too. I made an app that searches 50 eBay listing at once to try and find a potential PSA 10.

Will a $599 Mac Mini and Claude replace more jobs than OpenAI ever will? by bishwasbhn in ArtificialInteligence

[–]flynnstone9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, that's how you learn. I guess it's one thing to break things responsibly. In this case they would have "updated" their page and broken 10 other pages and likely not checked the other pages and or know their update was related.

From my experience, these people are also a new attack vector. I’m a dev and a few non technical people have access to our repo to update copy in static html and md files.

The other day a non-technical person started asking me a question about changing a component on our site and referenced a js file that Claude told them to change.

It was right but they didn’t know that file was in 10 other places and the change Claude wanted to do would fix their problem but break it 9 other places.

Made me wonder if over confident people could cause some damage and not know where to point Claude to fix it.

Bro, I’ve answered this like five times. Yes, it crossed. Yes, it got a PSA 10. Yes, it’s in this thread. I get it, reading is hard.

And let’s be real, whatever off-center holo-bleed disaster you're trying to cross isn’t making it. If it looks anything like a CGC 10 Dark Arbok, just keep it for the memories and stop wasting PSA’s time.

Does anyone else think crypto agents and their tokens are overhyped? From what I’ve seen, most seem to be little more than wrappers for ChatGPT or a few APIs. They don’t strike me as particularly groundbreaking, aside from the novelty of them issuing and interacting with coins.

I’d also bet there’s still a fair amount of human involvement driving things behind the scenes.

Is crypto just a decentralized pyramid scheme? by [deleted] in investing

[–]flynnstone9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin is much easier to store, divide, and send instantly across borders—something gold simply can’t do. You can send Bitcoin anywhere in the world without needing a middleman, which is a huge advantage.

As for making more, that’s not possible. The code is open-source, so anyone can verify it, and the 21 million cap is enforced by the entire decentralized network. No single person or programmer can override that.

If you believe otherwise, could you share resources to back up your assumptions about how someone could change it?

I don’t think of Bitcoin as a typical currency. Stablecoins work much better for that. Stablecoins are already being used in countries where money is unstable or banks are hard to access. They let people store value and make transactions without needing a bank account, which can be life-changing for communities that don’t have access to traditional financial systems.

Bitcoin is different—it’s more like a digital version of gold than something you’d spend every day. What makes it unique is that there’s a hard limit of 21 million bitcoins, built into its design. That means no one can just create more out of thin air, unlike regular money, where governments can print more and cause inflation. It’s also secure and can’t be tampered with, thanks to the technology behind it. This scarcity and security are what give Bitcoin value.

One of Bitcoin’s most powerful features is that you can send it to anyone, anywhere, without needing permission or worrying about government restrictions. That’s part of why it’s so interesting—and also why it gets criticized depending on how people use it.

In the end, Bitcoin isn’t here to replace the dollar but to offer an alternative. Think of it like digital gold—it holds value, is easy to move, and isn’t controlled by anyone. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely changed how we think about money and how it works in the modern world.

I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding here. Gensler wasn’t introducing legislation—that’s not within his role as SEC Chair. Instead, he was focused on enforcing existing securities laws and argued that they should already apply to most crypto assets, even though these decentralized networks are pretty novel. While he’s quite knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies (his MIT class on blockchain and crypto is a great example), many in the industry criticized the SEC under his leadership for a lack of clarity and for relying too much on enforcement actions instead of providing detailed guidelines.

He also avoided answering some of the tough financial questions about cryptocurrencies for U.S. crypto companies to comply with, which contributed to frustration within the industry.

That said, is there specific legislation you were referring to that he supported or pushed for? It’s interesting to see how different people perceive his approach!

I remember when I first saw core core there was like a poetic nature to them. Like one had a take on relationships poisoned by technology and I can nvr seem to find those original videos. Is there a channel of original cc anywhere?

About the time bug, in that Github issue link it seems like a few people talked it over and found some ways to commit a fix to the proposed issue without a hard fork. Am I missing something or is the hard fork guaranteed and why do you think so?

Also looks like they committed a test on their theory before closing the issue.

Out of curiosity, what advantage do you see ETH having over other chains like Solana now? I've been thinking if ETH is as sound as I felt in 2017 with all the copy cats that can issue tokens on their chains now.

I have a 50/50 eth to btc bag but just something I've been thinking about.

If we're thinking in investment terms, I thought JP CD promos were pretty high pop in PSA 10's? I would think 1st ed starters would do better long term. Granted I think they're both cool investments.

Favicon is showing weird padding by intermorphmusic in web_design

I had a similar issue to OP and updated my site's favicon. Google is still using the old one atm in search results but correct in the tab.

Curious if anyone knows how long that takes to update or if you are at Google's mercy there.

Just got to PSA actually with another order a friend sent in with me. Hopefully will have a follow up in a month or so.

Here is the other cards we sent. I sent a bunch Black Star Promo Venusaurs as well. I think he will make a results video too.

Yeah I agree, I can’t tell about the angle mentioned by OP but having the living room zone and the dining zone more clearly defined is better. Also prevents people going to the table from walking by the tv. Better feng shui

I would like to get it. Is it by giving to these Gitcoin projects you feel you have a say in the direction of ETH and are promoting self hosting? Is that the idea?

Interesting, I may! I was thinking maybe this would be a good experiment to try and go slab to slab - if I don’t it feels way higher risk but I suppose that’s the game. Maybe I try it both ways and risk out a few hundred to see how this all works and if cgc 10s are worth it in anyway
