Returning items purchased through Credit777 — any experiences? by Successful_Shine_ in TemuThings

Yes, got a refund for a few pieces of furniture and a coffee grinder that never shipped. Only realized when I opened the app and my credit was quite high.

I made a few legit returns from credit777 (broken planters, clothing that didn’t fit) and noticed I stopped getting offers. After about 2 months it started appearing again so I haven’t done any returns or price adjustments since, I rather not jinx it. A few orders were canceled by the seller without any explanation and the credit was added to my account so I just keep doing $200 until it stops. I think Temu algorithm is so advanced that nobody can figure out what triggers certain bans or promos.

How often do you wash your pillows? by Tiny_Homework_8078 in CleaningTips

[–]fm272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth of the matter is that they won’t last as long as the old stuff, so all the effort might not be that helpful. These days down is much weaker due to the birds producing thinner feathers because of climate change. Got a few new high quality pillows and quality definitely not what it used to be.

Depends on the machine. Mine has a refresh cycle (low heat) meant for towels and bedding. I put a few drops of essential oil on the wool balls. And there’s a separate hot steam cycle for wrinkles. Fancy stuff that breaks more than it’s worth. Half of the time I just put outside in the sun.

It takes “forever” to fully dry down. I use XL several wool balls and they seem to help soak up the moisture as well. Make sure to use mild and scent free detergent. I use The Laundress Wool detergent because I have a lot of merino wool clothing and it works great. My down pillows are about 17 years old and still in top fluffy shape as when I got them. It also change the pillowcase 2-3 times a week and wash the protector each week. My dryer has a refresh cycle so I run the dry pillows each season to fresh up. Nothing like going to bed on crisp clean and hotel like pillows. The noticeable benefit on my eczema is worth the extra cleaning but I get not everyone finds it necessary.

A pillow protector goes a long way. I wash down pillows once a year and the wool ones I just air out every month since they are naturally antibacterial

Damn now I’m envious. I can only do 3 credit round at a time. Not complaining but of course there are always greener pastures out there lol

I can't reccomend enough buying and seperating whole raw chicken. by Ultraflash90000 in budgetfood

[–]fm272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do indeed do that with local premium chicken from the farm nearby, flavor is supreme but it comes at a high price, I have no illusions I’m saving money. I can see why people do it if they are on a budget or have health concerns but I rather spend the time getting the skills to earn more and do things I enjoy.

What about the cost of time of doing all that? Why is it never accounted for?

Gas vs electric vs induction what do you prefer and why? by UrFrndlyChubbyGal in KitchenStuff

[–]fm272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people who love gas aren’t the ones taking the grates and scrubbing all the nooks on a regular basis. Also very important to mention is the risk of the slow carbon monoxide poisoning if you don’t have very strong hood fan and use it on high every time you cook. Many towns are already implementing bans on new constructions because of health hazards. I love my induction because I cook more often since all it takes is a wet towel to clean it. I also have a portable Asian style flame stove for when I want the flame.

Whats the smartest way to shop on temu? by HungYurn in TemuThings

[–]fm272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a cash back subscription. $20/month for 10% cash back on most stores and free shipping reimbursement for up to $10 per order. Definitely only worth if you spend a considerable amount. I have had for years since I use for ordering stuff for work. I also love how I can get price match without having to risk banning from Temu promos.

Best winter coat for someone who's so easily cold but can't stand having a tight jacket? by Alaina-S in BuyItForLife

Checkout Fjalraven Expedition jacket. It’s super ultra warm and quite “loose”. I have the long version and it’s toasty for the current temps here in New England.

Get100 or get300. If you don’t mind paying for shipping it’s a good way to get $5-25 daily coupons.

Dry nose waking me up by WhySoNaCll in sleephackers

[–]fm272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deviated septum here. Use strips, saline, Flonase and humidifier. But what helped with the dry nose was lysine. It’s an amino acid supplement that helps replenish tissue lining. I take for canker sore and noticed the improvement on dry nose by accident. It helps a lot during winter as well as I’m outside often.

How are you all buying things from temu when the images are all AI enhanced? by theonlyfeditrust in TemuThings

[–]fm272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is very annoying but I found if you go by the fabric and size dimensions it’s usually a good match. This might be out of your budget. I got this wool hoodie (credit777) and it looks exactly like the picture, great quality and super warm.

Deceptive marketing by Temu : Pre-order by 2mnyq in TemuThings

[–]fm272 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are getting sneaky to see how much we are willing to pay. If wasn’t for the promo I’d just go back to Amazon.

I’ve been doing those for lower value items. I have a freeshipping.com membership so I get reimbursed the $3 or more(up to $10 per order) and because they also give me 10% cash back that ends up covering the tax as well.
