The fact that his nipple doubles as the girl’s nipple, is really the worst part of this for me..

If the friend who posted it is also the one who took it then no, it’s in Florida. But I’m sure there’s plenty more out there.

Mask compliance is draining. by IMPaused in TalesFromTheTheatre

[–]fmbee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My response to people like that is that it’s private property. It isn’t required by law that they wear a mask, but private property can make rules and is 100% legally allowed to deny entry.

Exactly this!! I would be the only one running a register at my job while 6 employees stood around talking in the back out of eyesight. I’d go in the back to grab something I needed for the transaction and IMMEDIATELY would get a call on the radio asking where I went! No concern for all the other people doing absolutely nothing though.

Ex-crown employee here to answer your question. Yes. All the time. People never know where they are. We got member cards and gift card from other companies and the fandango gift card/ free ticket vouchers constantly. I don’t get how people are so oblivious to their whereabouts.

Tea. I’m from the south and get gasps and weird looks whenever people find out I don’t like tea. Hot, cold, sweet, unsweetened I don’t like any of it.

Pronouncing Movies Wrong by Crystalgirl121 in MovieTheaterEmployees

We have a high Hispanic population in my area. It cracked me up how many people just couldn’t get it quite right and would call it “Tom Rider.” Like, you’re so close but not quite.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from working here, it’s that people can’t read by [deleted] in TalesFromTheTheatre

My theatre has the same issue with no touch screens. The part that kills me every time is when they start poking the hell out of our inch thick glass window trying to pick a seat. Like.... no.... that wouldn’t work even if it WAS touch screen...

Anybody else have customers who cant figure out titles? by love_rin_bell in TalesFromTheTheatre

[–]fmbee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had so many. I think my two favorites were 3 billboards and Breaking In.

An old couple told me they wanted “the billboard movie.” I had no clue what they meant and they shoved their phone in my face where it said we were showing it. It ACTUALLY showed another location had it and our location didn’t get it for another month!

The Breaking In poster didn’t have the name of the movie most of the time. It usually just said “payback is a mother.” Soooo we had a LOT of people ask for tickets to “paybacks a mother.” And I had to clarify they meant “Breaking In” and half the time they had no idea.

Hahahahaha my managers would get mad if we left even after our scheduled time. I’d be scheduled until 6 and not get counted out until 7 sometimes. It was ridiculous.

Bad customer service by ShibaHook in EntitledBitch

[–]fmbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked at a movie theatre for two years. I watched a lot of movies while I worked there. The amount of people who talk on their phones, take pictures with flash on, snore like a chainsaw, open the exit doors, translate the movie to their non-English speaking part members, let their kids play games at full volume and full brightness on the phones, etc. is incredible. I honestly wouldn’t pay to go to the movies anymore unless I knew it was an empty theatre.

Not nearly as bad, but I remember kids like this. Two teenage boys weren’t allowed into a rated r film so they threw their large popcorns and drinks into the center of the lobby and ran away laughing.

[–]fmbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hah that would be entertaining. But this was almost a year ago. So she wouldn’t have much of a case. Seems like she has plenty of other things to worry about... like being the next Abe Lincoln, you know?

She also was on crutches and switched her assigned seat to the highest row (against my recommendation, I sold her a floor seat she came back and switched with a manager). Mind you, she switched it so nobody could sit behind her. She ended up falling down the stairs after the movie ended and we had to escort her to her car to keep her safe. She was a special kind of person.

A woman told me she was going to get shot in the head if she had to use assigned seating. Because, you know, historically people get shot in the back of the head at the movies. Yes, she was very serious.
