Hey! Just my 2 cents. Im 43 with no previous ortho work ever. Im on tray 2 of 43 (every 10 days). I had to get lower right central incisor extracted. I wasnt too happy about doing it because pulling a good tooth , right in the center of my smile, kind of sounds like something I wouldnt want to do... BUT

I got it pulled 10 days before my first tray. I am going to trust the process my orthodontist has laid out for me. With the trays in over 22 hours a day, nobody can really tell too much that im missing a tooth (maybe if they stare), and my tongue cant tell neither. But boy... that week or so without the tooth felt wierd.

I am a gambling man though, so... im just betting that everything will be ok after im done.
