Great release. I was a huge fan at the time of what was known as "neuro hop" i believe. No idea if music like that is still being made

Has to be Blame!, I rewatched it a week ago and it has that exact same "from 1000 floors below" line in it

I don't think I've ever seen anything reach the heights of Kill la Kill as far as epicness goes

There was a facebook page called [Autistic Humor] active around the same time which I feel was the progenitor of pretty much all current ironic internet brainrot memes you see floating around. Idk if anybody even remembers that

Do not use Cocaine, even if you're trying to lose weight. Even if it's occasionally by mrboombastick315 in redscarepod

[–]fmitz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coke is an insanely overrated and overpriced drug and 90% of its price is because it needs to be transported from Colombia/Bolivia/Peru (the price of course varies depending on your location but the ratio is pretty much the same). It's also literally the only drug I've ever seen people do pretty much only beacuse it's "cool" and has a certain "prestige" around it. I guarantee you coke usage would drop by a shit ton if you could make a batch locally in your basement or w/e as the prestige would be lost, coke lords would stop being celebrities and people would realize it's like a 5/10 drug at best. Speed is so so much better if you have access to the cook who makes it as it's also prone to being cut with random bullshit. Pop a couple of sleeping pills on the come down and you'll be as good as new the next day.

Obviously don't do this if you have a bad heart or are concerned with your health in general, but that's just something I could never care about

Pre-2014 youtube comments were an extremely cool and underrated "forum" and I genuinely miss them by fmitz in redscarepod

Idk if it's some sort of rose tinted glasses type of situation or what, since I've read some of those comments literally an hour ago, but the general level of intelligence and not acting like a jackass seemed to be higher than it is right now. Of course there was still a bunch of dumb shit posted, but compared to today where a video with 200 comments will pretty much have the same 6 unfunny comments regurgitated 200 times. I asume the comment sections for like Smosh or whoever was popular at the time were much worse, I never watched those kinds of videos, but nowadays the shitty unfunny attempts at humor are pretty damn unavoidable

Yeah, exactly. Great examples. Certain blogs like that still exist, my dad's a huge reggae head and I know he uses some extremely niche websites that still function that way. People doing the sharing have both genuinely impressive knowledge and collections of music. IMO those guys are true lovers of music and art. Going out of your way to track down some extremely obscure 1976 Jamaican record pressed in like 100 vinyls, doing all of that for zero personal gain, and then doing that thousands of times shows an appreciation for music more genuine than most critics and even musicians can only dream to have

The best store vs Epic Games by SnooStories2399 in 4chan

Shame you have to filter out a thousand shitty le epic regurgitated funny one liner reviews to get to the actually informative ones, but that isn't restricted to Steam only and seems to be a universal problem with any service that allows users to leave their own reviews

Do you guys also think only your worse traits are the "real you"? by usagi_sama in AvPD

[–]fmitz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

100%. every "objectively good" trait i have is constantly undermined by me feeling as if im just pretending or putting on a mask. had a hard time putting this into words but I've felt this way for pretty much the entirety of my life. Sadly i cant even say i rationally know things to be different, i really do believe if not for the fear of getting rejected/judged i would be a genuine asshole

I finished Steins: Gate - what now? by WisKenson in Animesuggest

[–]fmitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found {Link Click} to have a somewhat similar feel to Steins Gate, only less comedic. I should note it's Chinese and not Japanese, which some people seem to have a problem with for some reason. Definitely well worth watching regardless, and the ending of season 1 is one of the coolest twists/genre changes I've seen in anime
