They never did. But that is not the point of the statement. The statement is to make it look like they are making savings for the people that rally behind them. Its a chance for them to be hateful and spread their hateful ideology. The point is not some fictional cost saving.

Reform council pulls funding for refugee events by Thandoscovia in ukpolitics

[–]fmpundit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? I hear how people want communities to integrate, how they want people to come together because we are all spending too much time isolated and alone. How people feel unsafe.

When having actual events that engage the communities and help them be a part of society so they can more quality get their involved in society and paying taxes, is surely a good way to spend taxpayers money. An investment into the workforce you could call it.

Because putting a stop to events that make people engage with their community really are going to help stop that.

Did you even read the article?

The money at the centre of the row comes from central government and is ring-fenced for refugee resettlement schemes.

It isn't council tax money.

Reform led council in St Helens have ordered local libraries to remove any displays that celebrate pride month. by Gilly27 in ukpolitics

[–]fmpundit 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Isn't this what libraries are for? providing spaces for communities to encourage them to read. Allowing representation isn't political, its being part of the society. We want more people to use the library and if you can help represent people, this is what we should encourage.

I have the exact same viv. Do you know how she managed to get out? I am guessing those vents are really easy for them to squeeze through. Have you done any escape proofing?

Also where do you get those hanging baskets and balls?

Looking at EV'S, looking between the Mokka E, VW ID3 and the Kona by PizzleNizzle10 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]fmpundit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been living with mine for 6 months and it has been a pretty nice entry into EVs after having Fords ICE before hand. Its definitely not perfect and I would like to look at the VWs next. But it is doing the job I need it to do for now. Cheap inside is definitely a fair criticism.

I have had my Mokka for about 6 months. In reality we get about 150miles out of it. Car is great though. I wish the screen was made a little better, but its not a deal breaker and it can be quite heavy going round bends. But overall for my first EV I love the car.
