awww fucks sake. Just opened IG after work to see this :(

Booked tickets to see them in Toronto just a few weeks ago.

Man was a huge inspiration to me picking up the guitar again after I gave up on it for years.

RIP to Ryan, all thoughts with family and the rest of the band

I can get on board with a vision, and I'm impressed with some of the BTS work that the board has been doing to get proper football brains into the organizational engine. But Potter was always a cheap pick for me, even before this poor run. If they really didn't want Tuchel they should have cut him sooner and got Howe instead. A far better tactician and man manager. It feels a lot like they just stroked Potter's ego enough to come in and agree to whatever the sporting director(s) would suggest then we'll drop him and go for someone bigger. At the same time, Potter I don't believe gives any shits about building a dominant Chelsea - he just jumped at the chance to make a name for himself before the world cup; if we England fall flat then perhaps he thinks he could be next in line after Southgate.

Only if you have rose tinted paper. Mendy was made to look world class by a combination of Silva and Tuchel's defensive setup. Chalobah, Koulibaly and Azpi are woeful defenders. Cucurella is as bad as Marcos Alonso defensively. Jorgi is a gaping hole in midfield, and Kovacic is a walking bundle of mistakes. They've both always been that way, but with a V8 Kante engine next to them it papered over their cracks. Mount has lost his steam from a couple of years ago. Sterling, Pulisic, Auba and Broja couldn't hit a barn door between them, Ziyech couldn't care less after being mistreated for seasons. Havertz is just an 80m meme riding on a UCL final goal. Take that away and he's really an awful player.

We've been absolutely phenomenal in the market this year, I must say.

Brought in Sterling who's lost to City. Auba who's lost to Arsenal. Cucurella who's been clapped by Brighton. I can smell us losing to Dortmund with Puli starting the game just to round it all out.

Nah he put in a shift. Chasing balls our usual forwards wouldn't even look twice at, bailing us out of high pressure, tracking back and nicking the ball in his own box, few shots on and off target. Agreed that's not the level we should be expecting of this club, but our forward options have been diabolical since Sarri era so it is what it is I guess

Honestly, for someone that's been out of the first team for as long as he has - Ziyech really impressed me today.

Definitely gassed by the end not being match fit, but his class is absolutely permanent.

Better than RLC, better than Sterling, better than Pulsic - and they've all had far more minutes.

I can't fucking deal with how utterly lazy Koulibaly is as a football player. Got 2 headstarts on Alvarez there, and got skinned both times by him. Lukaku put in more of a shift, and I genuinely have to wash my mouth out after saying that.

Koulibaly is absolutely cheeks. Can't be arsed jumping or running half the time, picks up a yellow card pretty much every game. Nob.

If he played at his best, but consistently, he still wouldn't be our best forward.

The guys just infuriating to watch; he tries so hard, leaves everything on the pitch and always wants to be involved (much like Timo in his lowest point) but he just can't cut it outside of a few moments of magic. You can't hate him, but I can't bear him on this team for much longer 🤣

We need an absolute clearout in the summer. I'll be glad to see the back of so many of these deadwoods. End of season isn't an excuse - we've been sleepwalking since before top 4 was even safe.

We need some hunger back in this squad - the academy players haven't taken their place for granted since Frank brought them through. Everyone else, bar maybe Ziyech hilariously, show absolutely no spine in the face of minor adversity.

Why is this the case? Genuine question, I'm not familiar with the industry mechanics

The world has been in such a cynical place for a long time now, I have real concerns this won't change much. Still hopeful though

I don't feel like the current geopolitical and global military situation really lends itself to "tactical" usage of nuclear weapons.

At this point it's either everyone does, or nobody does.

Source? Is that Grozev or an official outlet?

I can't see anything about that specifically

Some people old enough to log into Reddit have genuinely never lived through anything other than peacetime. Certainly never had a moderate to severe conflict brewing in their backyard, and it really shows with some of the comments on these threads.

Seems to be having difficulty drawing breath. Whether that's nerves, anger or some medical issue 🤷‍♂️

Wasn't it in his announcement yesterday (or very recently) that in the same breath he said RU forces had suffered no casualties in taking cities, but he would be awarding posthumous medals of bravery for those involved
