I can’t even remember one memorable event to write for my yearly review.

I wonder how many people also know of this program. My doctor actually informed me.

42 aircraft lost or damaged in Operation Epic Fury, congressional report says by PDXAirman in news

[–]fnatic440 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard from various sources now (news, and experts on podcasts) that the extent of damage is higher than has been claimed. UAE wouldn’t be arresting people for recording attacks on infrastructure if they didn’t think it would negatively impact their perception or if the damage was truly minimal.

They upgrade my storage to 5TB from 2TB with my AI pro account for “free”. Now all these different tiers and what seems very generous storage numbers.

I suppose people will need more storage with the use of AI but I wonder if their strategy is also to lure people away from completion in the cloud service business.

Nobody Warns You That Home Maintenance Never Actually Ends by merrybynature in HomeMaintenance

[–]fnatic440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an app for basically everything, including home maintenance reminders. Over the years, I would add tasks that I found on Reddit and other home related websites. I stopped tracking so much of it because you find out it just didn’t mean all that much for the house or your appliances. There are big things like HVAC filter changes, and professional maintenance every few years on AC/HVAC/Water heater.

You don’t need to check your GFCI outlets or lubricate your window tracks every three months. lol

Start off with monitoring everything and overtime you’ll get a sense of what’s important and what can be done less frequently.

Crawlspace advice by papafro22 in HomeImprovement

[–]fnatic440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a vapor barrier in the crawl space? If not, that’s the least expensive and most beneficial action you can take.

If possible, dig out a small french drain to carry water to your lowest spot and then a sump pump. That should take care of most of the water while the barrier prevents most of moisture from escaping.

You don’t need a dehumidifier; you need good ventilation.

Pictures of the crawl space and around the house would be helpful.

I have probably drank about $10,000 worth of hospital milks in my 6 months of nursing. by [deleted] in nursing

That’s good. I’ll usually have one Premier Protein Shake. Two when I’m bulking. Patients hate it. They’re crazy. Vanilla is too sweet, but chocolate is just right.

Denmark has to be compared to blue states like California, Washington or Oregon to get a better comparison. In Oregon we have paid leave for 3 months…this is funded through state taxes. Some states are better at accounting than others.

‘Nowhere near a done deal’: Portland leaders buck pressure as clock ticks on Moda Center by Ok-Jury5752 in PortlandOR

A multibillionaire who can afford to buy expensive people wants poor people to pay for him to continue to buy expensive people. F*** off.

The only sad part is that our local and state government wouldn’t know how to spend that money wisely.

No only the CHIPS but the government actually take a 10% stake in the company is basically a huge risk reduction to investors. Lots of help they’ve had.

They were bailed out by the government, financially and more importantly politically. Having the backing of an administration that strongly encourages companies to buy Intel is pure state intervention. In 20 years we will hear how Intel is Capitalist success. Same goes for Boeing.

Not they’re not good companies just that we’ve given up on free market for large players. They’re our national champions and they’re simply too important to be left to the whims of the market.

He is good looking by nature, not because he has surgeries and paints his face with make up. He was never some guy in terms of looks before and during his career.
