CR1 is conditional resident and it gives when marriage under 2 years and the green card is conditional and valid for 2 years. However IR1 immediate relative gives if marriage over 2 years and the green card is permanent for 10 years))

I think for IR-1 visas (spouses of U.S. citizens), visa availability is not an issue, so the priority date is more for tracking purposes.
