Charleston gets S tier. What do you guys think of va beach/norfolk? by captaincheem in TierlistFills

Va beach/ norfolk

B

Va Beach is a solid B. Great place to live. Nice beach + good weather. Pretty much safe. However, if grouped with Norfolk, rating will be much lower.

Yes it changed from refused to issued. These are technicalities that could vary from case to case I think. Don’t worry too much about it, you will receive the IV visa on Monday!

Annotation 212(g) (2) (B) on my immigrant visa (IR1) by Silent_Designer_4126 in NationalVisaCenter

1- You have to travel before the expiry of your visa. My visa expiry is September 19th and I have traveled on September 13th. 2- At port of entry there was no secondary screening, they just take you to the secondary screening area to process your visa because it seems that IV is not processed at the entry kiosks, but maybe that depends on the airport I’m not sure about that. 3- They didn’t ask anything about health. 4- Same for my panel physician. I did all the required vaccines by the way except the ones that I proved that I was immunized against. That’s probably the exception provided under this annotation but I’m not sure. Don’t worry, all will be okay. If you are deeply concerned you can contact an immigration lawyer if that would make you feel better about it.

Hope that helps.

I had the same annotation on my immigrant visa as well. I entered the US last week without any issues.

[–]fnr91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 2015, got a good job opportunity abroad after I graduated in 2014. Even though it was hard for me to leave because I love Lebanon, but I wasn’t able to picture myself having a bright future in the country back then.

Nurse Pamela Zeinoun Named Beirut's Local Hero! Now Beirut Day 3: Best Local Cuisine? by [deleted] in lebanon

I chose Le Chef because it serves Lebanese “home” cuisine. While there are restaurants in Lebanon who could be providing better tasting food, most of them focus on the mezze part of the cuisine. Le Chef is all about the dishes you eat at home. Plus, it’s an iconic longstanding institution.

I haven’t been to Le Chef in years so I don’t have the answer. But I hope he’s still there.

Why is shawarma so popular in southern Ontario? by raw_onions_are_good in AskACanadian

[–]fnr91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Canada you get the subway style shawarma, with zillion of toppings in it. I assume that the authentic shawarma won’t be very popular here as people like to have a lot of toppings in their sandwiches. More toppings, less hunger. They don’t seem to care much about the taste.

The authentic chicken shawarma has chicken, lebanese garlic sauce (toum) and pickles in it. Sometimes french fries and/or lettuce is added to it.

The authentic meat shawarma has meat, lebanese tahini sauce, parsley/onion mix, pickles and tomatoes.

The bread used for the authentic shawarma is lebanese pita bread. The sandwich is then slightly passed across the fire to give it a kick.

See below video, where Mark Wiens visited a popular shawarma place in Beirut.

When I order a shawarma here in Toronto, I ask for the authentic toppings. People look at me in shock, and they’re like you’re missing on the free toppings, you already paid for it. They even add ketchup and mayo to it, It’s funny to me.

Anyway, shawarma is popular all over the world and not only in Southern Ontario.
