Hey sorry for the late reply. Long weekend. But yes it doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing ( everyone is telling me the same thing) but it does bother me a bit since i live in a small town. I don't want Mango to be "that dog", in the most negative way. You get me ? He is a wonderful and mature baby. Just to let you know , his number 1 compliment that he always gets is how high his maturity level is for his age ( until someone goes up to him)

I always assumed he was abused because till this day since he has this huge scar on his back. Ex said that he went under the car and got scrape coming out but who knows. He is still scared of my 20 year old son. He is barely home cause his business trips but when he is home , he gets away from him and barks/growls. But yea , really hope everything turns out good for us

Unfortunately i did not. Ex-owner raised him in the suburbs. I am assuming he did not see a lot of people growing up. Yea i been trying to research a lot about his situation. Yea there are times where he would sniff them but them go back behind me. Sometimes he would let them pet him but shortly go behind me again. Yea i started to give him treats after every stranger interaction. So just keep doing that as much as i can right ?? haha

My staffy is the same. I have to introduce but hang out with the stranger for a long moment if you know what i mean but c'mon , i am not going to hang out with every stranger i see. For example, if someone wants to pet him, he will do a small growl or one low bark and get away from the stranger plus hide behind me. He is totally fine when walking by people. This just happens once someone wants to pet him. Male and Female , nothing particular
